We NEEDED some rain down here. Now they're talking about a week of it! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! I, too, love rain, especially when it's a steady, gentle rain. The smell of rain--so fresh, especially, as you say, when it has been hot and humid. We've been getting more rain here than usual for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo from inside the shelter. And I enjoyed the harp music. :-)
I love the one of the phone booth, it is like modern art!!! Rain refreshes everything, allergies are always better after a rain, at least for me and my family, And so great for sleeping!!
ReplyDeletegreat photos! i think this is the first time i've seen rainy-day pictures on your blog. looks like it was quite a cleansing downpour! :D
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the phone box through the window.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how one's attitude to rain varies according to what one wanted to do that day. Sometimes it's most welcome and you lift your face up to catch it;other times it can be a nusiance, stopping you from gardening, or whatever. It's pouring down at the moment but I don't have to go out and am enjoying listening to it.
Linda, I'm going to copy the style of words you use at the top of your blog. I hope you don't mind - they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
ReplyDeleteLovely soothing music, with beautiful pictures Linda.I wish you a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteEven rain can be lovely, Linda, in Montreal...
ReplyDeleteThe harpmusic..., beautiful...
Lie(f)s.
Harp music is beautiful. Our younger daughter was interested in playing the harp rather than the piano at one time but it was quite cost-prohibitive to us. I need to ask her if she ever regrets not getting to do that. She was only five at the time.
ReplyDeleteI like when it rains. The earth smells so fresh. Great pic inside the bus shelter!
We are leaving our season of storms though they can show up still. Right now it's weather in the nineties for a while. I don't mind too much but it does mean later evening walks ;)
ReplyDeleteExcellent photograph, beautiful music, the rainy time are mad of this year also in Poland:) Greetings
ReplyDeleteHola Linda. Ahora estoy en una tierra donde llueve mucho y todo es verde, azul de mar y azul del cielo. Después de pasar tanto tiempo en un desierto seco, aprecio especialmente la bendición de la lluvia. Un abrazo,
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. Now I'm in a land where it rains a lot and everything is green, blue sea and blue sky. After spending so much time in a dry desert, I especially appreciate the blessing of rain. A hug,
Hello Linda!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog. I really do agree with you about the rain. What would we do without it??
I wish You a wonderful weekend / Åsa
I sat and enjoyed a harpist playing at last summer's Kirkcudbright's Arts and Crafts fair. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a lot of rain around this summer. I've been keeping up with Calgary's floods, I've a cousin who lives there.
Wonderful quotes. I keep promising myself I'll write a book of my own quotes. "Have pride in your modesty" Is that possible?
jeg liker harp :-) fin video og bilder, happy weekend :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of rain on the roof.
ReplyDeleteI really like your rain photo's. They go nice with the music from the video. very soothing. I would love to be able to play the harp.
