Computer Pub, 1965 - I Found this Fascinating!

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is "Computer Pub, Hackney Wick London 1965".  It is a short, less than 3 minute video that I found absolutely fascinating!  I hope you all enjoy it.

The photos I am sharing today are ones I took last Saturday at Montreal's Old Port.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  3. I would say that the pool shot s prettier if it weren't for the lovely boats! So the first one of these pubs is already in existence, wouldn't you love to go, what a blog post it would make! And I'm assuming less mistakes except for maybe reading the numbers wrong.

  17. The computer ordering is interesting! Now "serving staff" puts the orders in to the kitchen on a touch screen computer - - and we can email from anywhere to the restaurant for a pick-up order. It all had to start somewhere but that is the first of I have heard of that. Thanks for sharing.

  18. I remember those days Linda. Tomorrow's World was a weekly 'must watch' show.
It's amazing that what used to require banks of massive computers can now be stored on a tiny 32 Gigabyte sd card.

  19. Lovely port photos. Would love to see this in person one day. My paternal grandparents emigrated to Canada from Ireland and the UK and there was much coming and going via the St. Lawrence Seaway... many stories.
