The photos I am sharing today are ones I took on a walk over the weekend. I came across this squirrel in a green space, kind of like a forest area and he played peek-a-boo with me! I thought it was sweet and comical. Please keep in mind that it wasn't easy to photograph him because he was moving about, however, I managed to take these photos. My favourite photo here is the middle one. Check out his expression as he looks down at me. It almost looks as if he is smiling as if to say, "Here I am!" :) LOL! You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

squirrels! they always bring a smile to my face, perhaps partly because of memories of the squirrels in cartoons that i watched as a child. it's so cool that you managed to photograph this squirrel in its natural habitat. it looks like it's curious about what you're up to with your camera! :D
ReplyDeleteThat was really fascinating!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are simply delightful to watch. I'm always amazed at how they can leap from tree to tree without hesitation and never fall. Their tiny little squirrel brains can measure distance in ways our human brains can't!
ReplyDeleteThat squirrel in the video has a better memory than me LOL. I love those pics and i agree with you on the second one, it's my fav as well.
ReplyDeleteSuper, Linda !!!
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
"If I don't move, she can't see me," thought the squirrel.
ReplyDeleteThe middle picture is so funny, good captures on all of them though. The experiment is really interesting, but I felt so sorry for him knowing the nuts were close by!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie and I am certain he is playing with you, standing still, what would be the point, mischeivious creatures.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Squirrels are really smart!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are fun to watch but I'm not a big fan of them.
ReplyDeleteThey got into our attic one time - not fun and hard to get rid of.
I love watching squirrels! They seem so mischievous. That little rascal must have enjoyed you photographing him. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat middle picture is priceless! What a lovely inquisitive creature :)
ReplyDeleteI love squirrels, but we have a problem here in parts of Scotland.
ReplyDeleteThe native red squirrel is in danger of being wiped out. I quite like grey squirrels and have nothing against them only they are a danger to our native population.
Saving Scotlands Red Squirrels
Nice pictures though.
Smart Squirrel :))I love it it is so funny :))
ReplyDeleteBeautifull pictures you have made, Linda.

ReplyDeleteFascinating, and your lovely wee fellow was just having a game with you. Cheers from Jean
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video and such a cute and adorable little squirrel. I do love squirrels. They can be little rascals but I still am very fond of them.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are so much fun to watch, especially when they're being playful. You got some good captures here.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are amazing. I saw a special on how they visually triangle a map of where they hide their nuts... using trees, shrubs, fences etc. The other squirrels do not put nuts in the same triangle area....interesting post and cute peekaboo game with you squirrel friend.
ReplyDeleteFascinating information on that video about squirrels remembering the exact place of their stash! I like how you matched the video to your photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. It is known squirrels are going at the other site of the tree when they see people.
