Lessons of the Geese

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a short 3 minute one entitled 'Lessons of the Geese'.  It is a beautiful and inspiring video and, even though I have already seen it, I watched it again, as it is one of those videos that is such an inspiration.  Enjoy!

Several of you asked me if I walk every day...well, I walk at least 4 days out of the week for a period of 30 minutes to an hour per walk.  I always take my camera with me and enjoy sharing the photos I take on my walks with you.  I have to pick my days because when it is very hot and humid I do not walk on those days, so I make certain to take plenty of photos on the days I do my walks so that I always have some to share here with you.

The photos I am sharing today are ones I took on yesterday's walk.  A squirrel posed for me and I came across a seagull on a dock that I walked onto.  :)  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  4. I had heard about the geese before and think of it often when I see the geese where I walk.
We have our walking in common. I too take my camera with me each morning when I go walking. : ) Too bad we live so far apart. It would be nice to take a walk with you. : )

  5. Sometimes I see geese, Linda. I think I will remember the lessons. We (on our blogs) can support each other with even only a word...

  7. Looking through your blog, it looks like you have some very beautiful places to walk. I enjoy wildlife, too, but I don't have a camera that does it justice, so I focus more on the flora. Love the little kitty a few posts back!

  8. Me encantan las ardillas. En ocasiones cuando salgo a la montaña en otoño suelo encontrarlas pero son difíciles de ver en su ambiente natural. un abrazo,

The seagull in the final pic looks very relaxed there on the dock, and what a very obliging squirrel!

  12. I watched the video on the geese – beautiful pictures and so true. My husband always looks up when geese fly by – we can hear them from a distance. Your sea gulls are very pretty – I wish we had some close by.

  13. I commend you on your commitment to walking. My walking is more sporadic, which is not ideal. I need to do better at that. Your photos are always lovely. I especially enjoyed the squirrel today.

  19. I used to walk regularly but have kind of gotten away from it. I think I need to start again. LOVE the squirrel by the way. Also, I found a way of bypassing Blogger's limit on how many blogs one can follow, so I am now finally following your blog :)

  21. What a lovely post, Linda, so full of wisdom. The Lesson of the Geese, and words of Lao Tzu, were both truly inspiring. And your photos are so sweet... I love watching squirrels, too. Wishing you a lovely week ahead.

  22. Lynn says the little guy looks like he's going to offer you a nut. In my experience it's more about stopping you getting to them.

I love the geese. Every March here in Dumfries and Galloway there's a Wild Goose Chase with folk identifying different species. Sometimes the sky is absolutely full with migrating flocks.
