The video was perfect for this post, Linda. Chickens can be very pretty and colorful, and it looks like you found some that fit that description.
ReplyDeleteOh, that video was adorable!!! Especially when the eggs started popping out. *giggle*
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful chickens in the coop!!
It must have been exciting to find chickens in the city . I own chickens and I still enjoy it when I see them at places that you wouldn't normally expect to find them:)
ReplyDeleteI've only seen a chicken coup up close once. Just two of them in my distant cousin's yard.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute video! I was ready to sing along by the end. :-) Those chickens in the coop are pretty. That's neat to see in a city!
ReplyDeleteYou can keep chickens in urban sectors unless bylaws forbid it
ReplyDeleteChickens are great comapanions and no need for a male unless you wish to breed from them.
Check with your council but if you can keep them you'll love their company.
perfect video :-)
ReplyDeleteNice photos!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
great photos of the chickens! you're right, i grew up in a semi-urban state and the sight of chickens in coops was common, so these photos do bring back memories of my younger years =)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see chicken coops in the city. We had chickens for many years (still have the coop) but had to give them up when we became snowbirds, and our 'chicken sitter' grew up and went to college.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week !
Dearest Linda,
ReplyDeleteA chicken coop in Montréal is certainly an exception. As a child we used to have chickens too and my Mom did have some exotic ones several years ago. It is fun to watch them and they make great pets!
Enjoy your new week and thanks for visiting.
Hugs,
Mariette
I, too, am always so excited to come upon unexpected things like this!! What fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I have always enjoyed seeing chickens an have often said if I lived in the country I would keep them. I have never come across them in a city. The video was lovely too. Thank you Linda!
ReplyDeletelove those chickens, the video is cute, made me smile. I came upon a very small back yard of chickens in Avignon, unusual but then in the corner of the yard I saw a little goat! I think they were breaking a few community rules. ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting video, nice find.
ReplyDeletebeautiful captures..nice post...
The clip did make me smile and the photos turned out well and I can see the chickens. I have always loved chickens. I grew up with my grandparents and they always had them :)
ReplyDeleteThere's been some controversy here over people owning chickens in the city limits...even in Montana! I never thought I'd see that day!
ReplyDeleteGives you a nice feeling, Linda, I have the same with squirrels..., never see them...
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
Linda - your video and pictures of the chickens made me smile. Those chickens can be illusive at times - but you did a great job capturing them. Have a great day. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI used to live near Austin, Texas. There is a chicken coop tour there each year and lots of funky, funny, or interesting chicken coops. Seems like Montreal is a little behind on urban farming laws.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing chickens and you are so lucky to have some near by to where you live.
ReplyDeleteLike the chicken photos!!
ReplyDeleteI pass by some chickens and roosters at a farm most every morning on my walk. They roam around the farm.
There is a chicken in town in a coop too. At first there were 5 and now only one is left. I think the one left killed the other four!
