I love autumn, too! I love the cooler weather and the beautiful changes in the leaves. The air feels fresher, not as humid.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos with the water, rocks, and birds--lovely!
You have chosen another lovely song for this post Linda and your photos from your walk are always a treat. Isn't Fall a wonderful time of the year?
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite and September is my birthday month. My daughter, Summer, was born on October 27th!
ReplyDeleteLouis Dean LOVES that song! So do I!
The temps dropped 15 degrees her in Texas this evening. Hopefully tomorrow will not be scorching hot as it has been!!
Lovely ducks photos!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
When I was younger, my favorite season was fall! The crisp air, the gorgeous leaves. Now it is still beautiful to me, wildly gorgeous leaves to snap, but everything is dying, including the light. It bodes the coming of winter and the dying of the light, the flowers, the warmth. SO having said all that, spring is my favorite now that I am old!!
ReplyDeletei love harry belafonte songs. what a classy act =) ooo, i think my favorite season might be spring, but autumn probably comes second :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful September song and images!
ReplyDeleteI love autumn, and one of my favorite poems is "To Autumn" by William Blake:
O Autumn, laden with fruit, and stained
With the blood of the grape, pass not, but sit.
Beneath my shady roof; there thou may'st rest,
And tune thy jolly voice to my fresh pipe ....
Wishing you a wonderful autumn weekend,
Merisi
Harry Belafonte, how I remember Day O, and autumn colours, beautiful. Greetings, Jean.
ReplyDeleteIn Spain to be continued the summer!!!. Love your autumn images. Cheers!!!..

I love the picture of the ducks. Linda my favorite season is fall also, I love everything about it. Mostly I love the cooler and crisp temperatures :)
ReplyDeleteFall certainly is on the way. Nice duck pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post, lovely photos.
I have two favorite seasons: Spring and Autumn. I don't like the extremes in temperature.
And here in Brasil, even in the south ( where I live), the summer is incredible hot.
Although this year, we had a very strong winter, with snow in some places! This has never happened in almost 50 years! Our winter used to be very similar to your autumn.
H. Belafonte was my Dad's favourite singer, this is one of my favourite songs. Fall, like you my birthday, the colours, the fresh apples, the change in temperatures, wearing sweaters with my shorts ;-).
ReplyDeleteTanto la música, como tus fotos, nos introducen ya en el Otoño que se avecina. Un abrazo,
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard this song for so long. Thanks for the reminder although it seems summer is still in its peak here.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - I love that song as well as all your lovely autumn pictures...the birds are so sweet. Sounds like fall has arrived in your part of the world...it is making its transition here too. Hope you have a great week-end.
ReplyDeleteles photos d'automne sont bien belles, l'automne est une jolie saison qui fait penser au calme, le repos de la nature.
ReplyDeleteHere we are, fall is official. My feelings about the season are as mixed as the colors of fall itself.
ReplyDeleteI cannot choose, Linda...
ReplyDeleteA warm voice, Belafonte.
Lie(f)s.
That song is an old favorite of mine! I love the color in the leaves in your photo. In the fall, fall is my favorite season. In the spring...well, it's spring. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos, Linda. My favorite season is Spring, because my gardens start to wake up and it means I have several months of lazy, warm, breezy days in to enjoy in the gardens. But I do love autumn.... dressing in sweaters and heavy socks, kicking through leaves, and making big pots of soup on Sunday to eat all week. Wishing you happy times this season!
