Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The video I have chosen for this post is a delightful 2 minute clip of a young deer bathing a cat. Enjoy!
The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took a few years ago in my old elementary school. I took these photos of the hallways, as even as an adult, I am amazed at the size of this school. Each colour represents different grades. They have kindergarten up to grade 6...and the red colour is from kindergarten up to (I think) grade 2. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
I have some good memories (as well as some bad memories) like most people, of my schooldays. When I was in grade 2 a teacher decided that I wasn't learning at as a rapid pace as my fellow school classmates, so I was put in a special class for slow learners. I remember one of my teachers in the special class telling me that she felt that I didn't belong there, as I was different from the other children in that class.
Nevertheless, I was in a special class right up until grade 9 in high school, when I fought hard to get back into the regular classes...and did, and in grades 10 and 11, I finished high school in the regular classes and got my high school diploma.
I feel that the experience of being in a special class, (regardless of whether I belong there or not), taught me a valuable lesson: never to underestimate the abilities of others, to never make fun of others, and never to judge others who are different than myself, especially those who have a slower capacity of learning!
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.
