Hi Linda! We used to do a teddy bear picnic with our kiddos in school, and they would learn this song and perform it for their parents. It was lots of fun! You photos is so lovely green with spots of clover. Summer is very dry here. We are up in the mountains in Breckenridge with huge mounds of snow everywhere. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, the Teddy Bear's Picnic is a very familiar tune for me. Listened to it a lot in my childhood!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, a lovely song, and it never dates. What luscious green, with white ducks/geese and more enjoying the shade. Cheers from Jean.

Oh, Linda, I was skimming through the posts I missed yesterday and stopped cold for this one. I haven't heard or thought of Teddy Bear's picnic since I heard my parents join in on the song on the radio. Sixty years ago. Lovely memory; thank you.

Hi Linda, this version of the Teddy Bears Picnic was very popular in the 40/50's when I was growing up. Wonderful !
ReplyDeleteYour picture reminds me of my last visit to Stenton Ponds in Glenrothes, there's always a good variety of birds there too.
