Teddy Bear's Picnic and Birds

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have selected for this post is "The Teddy Bear's Picnic" (Henry Hall and his Orchestra, 1932).  It is a catchy tune. Enjoy!  :)

The photo I am sharing today is one that I took last August. There were many birds including ducks, geese, seagulls and pigeons.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

I have been having some technical issues as far as commenting on some blogs....not all blogs, but some of them. I hope to have this figured out and thank you so much for bearing with me!

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  1. Hi Linda! We used to do a teddy bear picnic with our kiddos in school, and they would learn this song and perform it for their parents. It was lots of fun! You photos is so lovely green with spots of clover. Summer is very dry here. We are up in the mountains in Breckenridge with huge mounds of snow everywhere. Have a good weekend!

  6. That green in your photo is so vibrant! It looks warm and full of life. It is hard for me to imagine that it will be like that again in several months.

  13. Oh, Linda, I was skimming through the posts I missed yesterday and stopped cold for this one. I haven't heard or thought of Teddy Bear's picnic since I heard my parents join in on the song on the radio. Sixty years ago. Lovely memory; thank you.

  18. Hi Linda, this version of the Teddy Bears Picnic was very popular in the 40/50's when I was growing up. Wonderful !
Your picture reminds me of my last visit to Stenton Ponds in Glenrothes, there's always a good variety of birds there too.
