ReplyDeleteThe Salvations Army is very dear to Louis Dean's heart! They made such a difference for him in his childhood. We make sure we have cash on hand so we can slip a few dollars into the kettle at each and every place we see them!
ReplyDeleteI believe in miracles too. I need them everyday!
Merry Christmas, Dear Friend. I think I know why I have been missing you. Didn't your blog name used to be Linda's Lair? I think the name change may not have come up in my feed.....but I will fix that!!! Thanks agian for your kind note!!!

ReplyDeleteŻyczę Ci nadziei,
ReplyDeletewłasnego skrawka nieba,
zadumy nad płomieniem świecy,
filiżanki dobrej, pachnącej kawy,
piękna poezji, muzyki,
pogodnych świąt zimowych,
odpoczynku, zwolnienia oddechu,
nabrania dystansu do tego, co wokół,
chwil roziskrzonych kolędą,
śmiechem i wspomnieniami.
Wesołych Świąt!
Your great city's Christmas lights are mesmerizing.
ReplyDeletePeace and Joy to you for Christmas, with many hugs, from Jean.

ReplyDeleteMy Great Aunt was a career nurse for The Salvation Army (she has since passed). It is the only charity I donate to since the I know that money is properly spent! The baby hippo is super cute.

Nice to be here again
So enjoyed this post!
I didn't realize until a few years ago how much Salvation Army and Goodwill were religiously based.
ReplyDeleteI know Goodwill though has had a tough history with worker's treatment. I met a girl who hated working there, and heard a few people online write some negative stories. The company from what I read as a whole, has given its workers next to nothing while the higher ups were living a good life.
Now I'm not a Christian, but do you think Jesus would be fond of the current people who run Goodwill?
Buon Natale e felice anno nuovo a te e alle persone a te care
ReplyDeleteI believe in miracles too :)))
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas from Italy!!!

ReplyDeletemerry christmas, linda!!
My ex-in-laws were Salvation Army. They were truly beautiful people. They were so kind and so humble. I never heard a bad word come out of my mother-in-law's mouth. I wish more Christians were like them.
ReplyDeleteYes, never stop believing and never give up hope. Believe that miracles can and do happen. Christmas is almost here.
ReplyDeleteThe baby hippo's cute!
ReplyDeleteThe Salvation Army is the ideal charity to give to. The overwhelming majority of what they raise goes right into the work, and they make the best impact and do the most good.
Dropping by to say Merry Christmas to you dear. Thanks for the joy that you are spreading to all. May you enjoy the birthday of our King.
