I like the kindness one
ReplyDeleteI have several very pleasant memories of Vermont, which started when many in St. Albans stopped to ask me if there was anything I needed after I arrived a day early for a pick-up of rolled paper. Some even invited me to come stay in their homes until the mill opened back up for business on Monday morning! I had never experienced that before, nor have I since.
ReplyDeleteNow, I stayed in my truck. For that was my home at the time, but I did venture over to a motel cafe, when told that they had the best meatloaf around. No, they were not at all wrong, and after I told the cook that I had consider marrying him if he hasn't so ugly, he and everyone within earshot cracked up, which added all the more to my pleasant memories!
"Leaving a sparkle trail" is a wonderful image.
