ReplyDeleteThe movie theater is amazing! I would love to go even once. That one hillbilly looks so much like Bing Crosby...maybe he had a secret earlier life as a Hillbilly.

ReplyDeleteIndeed!!! So very sad that these days, education is about books...books...and books, exam...exam and more exams. There is no joy at all in learning anymore.

Kudos to that movie theater. We have a grocery chain in Florida that hires many developmentally disabled adults and youth. It's a wonderful thing. I don't much like sneaky skeletons - they make no bones about what they do! Do like the Hillbillies, though!
ReplyDeleteInspirational as always.
ReplyDeleteSweet Linda, it always puts an especially big smile on my face when you post something vintage related amongst your fabulous finds and that toe tapping tune from 1927 is no exception. Thank you for always adding such fun and loveliness to my day (and for your immensely lovely blog comments, too).
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic Friday!
♥ Jessica
I completely believe life is better when faced with a smile! Good thought.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteC'est mignon comme tout de voir l'agneau avec le husky, j'ai adoré voir cette belle complicité entre eux ♥
Gros bisous et bon week end

Hi, dear Linda! It's a good thing that bogus doctor didn't scare some of those people to death with his skeleton! :) A few of them didn't even appear phased by it. I was happy to see the piece in which special needs citizens were given meaningful employment at the movie theater and prepped for better jobs. Earlier today you and I both watched the video showing a dog swimming with a dolphin. This clip of the lamb and husky playing with each other is further proof that all types of creatures and all types of people can learn to set aside differences and be friends. I agree that the gold standard of beauty is the love and goodness inside a person.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, dear Linda, and have a fine weekend!
I love the lamb video! Once we had a lamb just like this little one! She was so funny, too! :o)

ReplyDeleteI've been sitting here reading your posts for this week, Linda. I may get behind, but I always read them. They lift me up every time! All the inspiring quotes and funny gags. The one that hit me most was the hidden mental illness one: "One step at a time. One day at a time. One hour at a time." Thank you for posting that, Linda. It's such a hard path for people to walk in our society. People need much more compassion for those who struggle with mental illness. Have happy weekend, my Montreal friend!
ReplyDeleteI laugh also today:)
ReplyDeleteTouching story about the disabled people
I just want to give the sheep and the dog a hug:)
Love this quote: If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies, how different our ideas of beauty would be!

thank you for the reminder about empathy ... it's true that we often are too self-absorbed and that we end up neglecting empathy ... i will remind myself to empathise more! :)
