In the past some of you have asked me how I find and/or choose the videos I share on my posts here. I love YouTube and find it is such a great source of information and entertainment. I am actually very selective in the things I choose, because firstly, I want it to be family friendly so people of all ages can enjoy, and secondly, it has to be something I like myself. If it doesn't make me smile, laugh, encourage me, help me to relax, etc., I don't bother sharing it. YouTube makes recommendations according to videos that one has watched previously, so sometimes their suggestions are good and I use them, but for the most part I choose the videos myself.
As for the images I share, again, I am very selective. If I do not like the image or the quotation, I move on until I find something I like. I try to have something for everyone, and I try to make my posts enjoyable and choose a wide variety of things that interest me to share with you. As far as the images go, I even choose how I wish to place them so that there will be a combination of dark and light images, nice colours and helpful, humorous or encouraging things. Well, that is enough for now. Thanks for listening. :)
The videos I have chosen for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
2015 Motivation - Good Days and Bad Days - Nick Vujicic
Meanwhile in Russia - Wild Fox Came to Fisherman on Frozen Lake
Watching the Sea from a Cliff - Soothing Nature
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
The man with no arms or legs is very inspiring. A friend loaned me his book. Love the little fox coming up to the fishermen. He must have been very hungry.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and very to know all these.

ReplyDeleteToday you got me with the fox. What a wonderful video...the poor thing must have been hungry and was able to stifle his natural inclination to fear humans in order to get something to eat. Beautiful!

the waitress was very bounteous and thirsty? :-)))

Your blog is always a treasure to read. It's inspirational, cute, funny, and uplifting - all in one blog. I am so happy I found you. Thank you for all the time you spend searching for the right thing to share - you do a great job of coming up with just the right items.

ReplyDeleteI like the quote next to the cat
ReplyDeleteYou have chosen nice videos again Linda, you always surprise us with them.
ReplyDeleteI love "the wisdom of Nick" - have you read his book? Seeing his faith and outlook makes me ashamed to complain about minor things.
ReplyDeleteLove this post!
Hi Linda! I'll bet people rarely think about how much work it takes to put together a post that satisfies the one posting it. I really like how yours looks, especially with the dark background that sets your images off. I thought the waitress from hell gag was infectious. How could one not laugh along with all the laughing faces? I have to say though, that ocean from the cliff video would not be relaxing to someone who doesn't like heights! LOL! By the way, I finally made smoothies with your recipes using almond milk. They were super! I kept chickening out on the almond milk part ~ silly I know, but I don't always jump in. The milk didn't thicken and go weird with blackberries and blueberries like it does with regular milk and soy. Much fewer calories and more calcium. I'm going to be making many more smoothies in the mornings, now that Terry is retiring in eleven days. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGood to read this posts.
ReplyDeleteSo true that we get what we give. I think the Bible says something along the same lines...cast your bread upon the waters and it will come back to you (paraphrased, not an exact quote). I do appreciate how you choose the videos. If I go to the JustForGags channel I have to screen them myself--so much easier to just relax and enjoy the ones you choose for here!

ReplyDeleteAgree with what was said above.
I think I have not been utilising Youtube very much, but I do love Youtube for its wide selection of videos.
Love the quotes you shared here. Indeed what we give is what we get.
