Thursday Things

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!
I just wanted to say that I am very happy that some of you are enjoying the drink/beverage videos I have been sharing.  I will continue to share them in future blog posts.  :)

The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Anijsmelk (Thirsty for....) - even though the video says that this is a great cold weather drink, it sounds to me to also be great to have before going to sleep due to the lovely ingredients.  :)

Baden and Bad Voslau - Austria HD Travel Channel

Raptor gets Stuck After Chasing a Bird into a Barn

Storm - Pink Martini and the Von Trapps

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  7. Yes, if you dwell too much on worries, stress, sad and depressing things, your life sure is not going to be really great. As the song goes, don't worry...be happy. Life would surely be a lot more bearable that way.

  15. Hi, dear Linda! Thank you for another superb collection of videos and inspirational quotes. I will make sure Mrs. Shady sees the recipe for that soothing drink. I am in awe of people who rescue animals, and the video of the bird rescue in the barn was a great one. Earlier this week a mourning dove was "trapped" all night long in the outdoor corridor of my condo building. I reasoned that the bird flew in there at dusk because it was attracted by the hall lights and could not find its way back out. I didn't try to intervene because I reasoned that, when dawn arrived, the bird would head toward the light and escape. I was correct. I also enjoyed the beautiful sound of the Pink Martini vocal group.

    Happy Thursday, dear friend Linda!

  20. Hi Linda! I enjoyed that beautiful song from Martini and the Von Trapps. I've also been at the arcade many times playing those same racing games with my daughters so I loved the gag. There were so many inspirational quotes to meditate on, too. Thanks for another wonderful post... :)

  27. Funny gag...that would be a surprise! What I like about the gags is that they are rather gentle...they don't put people in danger.. And I think I may have to put Austria on my "bucket list."

  28. Yes, Linda, that would make a perfect drink before bedtime ...

  31. The people in today's gag will remember it every time they set food in a game arcade ~ LOL! Loved your drink video! What a fun way to share a recipe! The bread with chocolate mice on it at the end brought back wonderful memories with times I spent with a Dutch friend when I was a young teenager. Thank you for sharing this video. The ginger home remedy reminded me of my great grandmother who would make me ginger tea when my tummy was off ~ only she put the ginger in hot milk. It really worked! Have a good one!

  40. Splendid selection as always, dear Linda. I was especially struck by the image with the (deeper) meaning behind dragonflies. They've always been one of my favourite insects and something of a personal symbol of me (likewise for butterflies). In fact, I just bought my first ever dragonfly print garment (a vintage style dress) this year to celebrate that and can't wait to debut it when we finally get some warm enough weather there.

With all my heart, I wish you a joyful April!
    ♥ Jessica
