  1. I LOVE the Berussa paintings!!! Gosh, I used to love going to all the Five & Dimes. Woolworth's, Kresges, and others. I guess the modern version of the Five & Dimes is the Dollar Stores. But they do not have near as much character. And no soda fountain or candy counter.

  7. This Woolworth building is amazing and underrated because many Europeans don't know it. It stands in the shadow of Empire STate, Chrysler, WTC and Freedom Tower.

    Greetings,

  15. Linda, fun to remember Woolworth stores, as I am reminded of the lunch counters in these stores. We always went to one in Peoria, IL. Have a good weekend. The cat gag is kind of gross! ;-)

  21. Good morning Linda. I hope that you are having a sunny day. I loved the laugh about dead cat. I wonder how I would feel if that had been me? I agree that laughter is very important in our life. If more people would just smile & laugh at little, life would be so much better.
Have a great day my friend. See ya.
