  1. I LOVE the Berussa paintings!!! Gosh, I used to love going to all the Five & Dimes. Woolworth's, Kresges, and others. I guess the modern version of the Five & Dimes is the Dollar Stores. But they do not have near as much character. And no soda fountain or candy counter.

  7. This Woolworth building is amazing and underrated because many Europeans don't know it. It stands in the shadow of Empire STate, Chrysler, WTC and Freedom Tower.

  15. Linda, fun to remember Woolworth stores, as I am reminded of the lunch counters in these stores. We always went to one in Peoria, IL. Have a good weekend. The cat gag is kind of gross! ;-)
