Mental Health Awareness Month - Family history, life experiences, genes and brain chemistry all contribute to mental health problems. You can't just "snap out of it."
Hi Linda. That "perseverance" photo reminded me of a story my mother told - she was a writer and one time at a conference met a woman from somewhere in the Dakotas (south or north) who had no arms or legs but wrote her books on a typewriter using a stick of some sort in her teeth. Can't imagine how anyone could do that.
Yes, a million times over to the quote regarding the honour of caring for those who once cared for us. Never, not since my earliest childhood memories, has it ever sat right with me that so many people in today's world (especially in the Western World) strive to push elderly people out of sight and their homes, and into care facilities, instead of looking after them at home. Granted, sometimes a family needs professional medical help to care for an aging loved one, and that's totally fine, but in general, I mean, we should be inviting our elderly relatives to live with us, not paying tens of thousands of dollars a year to have strangers their surrogate families during their golden years. (*Ends rant*)
What a great post. The lady that uses her feet to do the things we do with are hands is amazing. Enjoyed the other videos and all the quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
Your videos and your sprueken were a wonderful and fun time for myself. I laughed, read, think, and data. Beautifully Linda. I really had again when generating and life lessons in your spells :-)
