Be Still Saturday and a New Poll about Christmas Shopping

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! I called this post "Be Still Saturday" because I thought it would be nice to just take some time to enjoy life!

I have added a new poll, just asking you about your Christmas shopping habits.  You will find the poll on the upper right hand column of my blog. Please remember that your responses are anonymous, even to myself.  Thanks so much for taking the time to vote in my polls!

The videos I have chosen for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Marine Life Paradise

Peace, Love and Art Helps Overcome Mental Illness

Baby Goose Saved from Territorial Black Swan

Peru Luxury Travel by Novalys Peru

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Crowd out, don't cut out!  Don't worry about what you shouldn't have...just crowd your plate with piles of tasty veggies!

Appreciate effort.  Sometimes, you have no idea what a person had to go through just to keep you happy.

Move at your own pace and remember...a single tiny step you actually take is better than any big plan left undone.

A big secret for happiness:  ignore people who do crappy things to you.

PUSH - Pray until something happens!

As you allow the light of your authentic self to shine through, your path will be illuminated and made clear.

A helping hand and a positive attitude go further than you know!

Don't be afraid to cry.  It will free your mind of sorrowful thoughts. - Hopi

Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.

Let go of the people who dull your shine, poison your spirit and bring you drama.  Cancel your subscription to their issues.

It all begins and ends in your mind.  What you give power to, has power over you. - Leon Brown

A wise person knows there is something to be learned from everyone.

You will never be completely free from life's annoyances, but you can become free from feeling annoyed. - Richard Carlson

Your stressful thoughts are like birds...flying in front of you, fighting to get your attention.  If you don't feed them (if you observe them without believing in them), they won't stay long and they will fly away.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  9. Hi Linda, after watching the video of the Territorial Black Swan bullying the baby goose, it reminds me that it is the same with human behaviour. The quote about not being afraid to cry is so true. It is the best way to release pent-up feelings. Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. Yes, eyes and ears open, we have two of each...and mouth shut - we only have one...and we will find that we can learn so much by watching others just by listening and watching. Sad is the one so blind that he who will not see...and he who will not listen.

Last month, I went to a seaside town in Devon called Dawlish.
They had black swans there too.

  21. I voted in the new poll as always. Great questions.

Loved the gag. The looks on their faces are always priceless.

The goose and the swan. We boat on the delta and there are lots of birds. They are very mean to each other. See this type of thing all the time.

Have a fabulous weekend Linda. ☺

  22. I was impressed by the fact that so many of the posters, etc., had to do with the power of the mind and how we can use that power to heal ourselves and find more joy and peace of mind. Merci !

  26. A surprise, we have seen these lodges hanging against the mountains in Peru. We would however never want to stay in one.

  30. Hi Linda, I'm definitely not a Christmas shopper. The commercialisation of the holiday drives me crazy. I love the food and getting together with friends and family, but the shopping part... I'm happy to leave out altogether. :-)

  31. That black swan appeared to feel a little ashamed after that little rebuke.

  34. The vegetable poster was great! We're trying to eat more veggies, planning our meals around them instead of the meat first . I enjoyed the Peru video... I'd love to go there ( but I'd have to find a less luxurious place to stay ).
