Weekend Wonders

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

Candid Camera Classic:  Car Speaks Japanese

Dr. Jeff Treats a Curious Wolfpack

Does Your Dog Bite? - Peter Sellers

Baby Vervet Monkey Rescued from African Brush Fire

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Don't confuse a difficult chapter with your whole life's story...it's time to turn the page.

It requires no time to experience peace and love, just your willingness to let go.

A person's most useful asset is not a head full of knowledge, but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.

A little faith can go a long way!

May your day radiate sunshine and love.

Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is. - German Proverb

It may seem like I didn't do much of anything today, but what I have going on mentally has me physically exhausted.

You have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn't worked.  Try approving of yourself and see what happens. - Louise L. Hay

Try not to get stressed about the family who doesn't treat you right.  Feel blessed about the family who's always there for you.

You are an unfinished work in progress.  One of the good things about life's challenges:  you get to find out that you are capable of far more than you thought possible.

Nothing in the world can bother you as much as your own mind.  Others may seem to bother you, but it's not others.  It's your own mind.

Strength grows in the moments you think you can't go on, but you keep going anyway.

Actions should speak louder than appearances.  Keep an eye on what someone does - not how someone looks.

Get busy doing things you love, and being with people you love, and your destiny will find you.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  4. Peter Sellers, another favourite of mine. His duet with Sophia Loren, "Goodness Gracious Me" is absolutely hilarious...and I have his comedy album too!

  15. That Peter Sellers clip is one of the funniest moments on film. I laugh so hard every time I see it. I tried to leave a comment earlier so this might be a duplicate.

    Saludos.

  19. Hi, Linda! Such special words for me today, thank so much! I especially liked the reminder to let family go who don't care to treat me with love and respect - I feel so sorry for the ones in my family who cannot let go of the past to allow each other member to grow freely! xo

  24. Really enjoyed the wolf pack one as I was wondering how he would examine them without knocking them out. There's a guy in the UK that became part of an enclosure held wolf pack to study them from inside and slept among them 24/7 for months at a time without coming out. They did adopt him into their pack, as has happened with young abandoned children in the past left in the forest, but he took a few bites and scars in the process before he became one of the 'family'

  25. Fear/wolf is certainly true

  26. I like your inspirational posters and the wildlife videos, Linda. I just saw one of those relatives who love to try to put guilt trips on others so have to block out the resulting mental chatter. Too bad they can't learn to love and accept others. At least I rarely see her.

  31. Good morning Linda. I was good to hear your story about the Greylag. Yes of course geese are very intelligent creatures in recognising humans good and bad. Thats why they are kept as "guard dogs" in some gardens where they alert houseowners to intruders. have a lovely week ahead.

Muito interessante o provérbio alemão: "O medo faz o lobo maior do que ele é."

  39. Hello Linda! I love watching Candid camera. It's just so funny! I've always been fascinated with wolves. I want to see one in person and the wolf is also my totem symbol. Plus, I also had a wolf tattooed in my left thigh :)

  40. As citações são muito bonitas. Eu gostei muito do vídeo em que
o Dr. Jeff está com os lobos, acho que precisa coragem para sentar no território deles.
    Tenha uma ótima semana!

  41. Some excellent food for thought and universal truths. I don't recall the Peter Sellers clip though I'm pretty sure I've seen all of the Pink Panther films. Now I want to see that one again.

  45. Don't confuse a difficult chapter with your whole life's story...it's time to turn the page.

I cannot agree more. It is so easy to focus on things that aren't going well that we forget that it will pass soon enough. :)
