Mid-Week Shares

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are:

Gold Finches and House Finches in the Bird Bath

Celtic Music - Autumn Elves

Wild Sea Pups Play with Divers

Autumn Leaves - Frank Sinatra

Behind the Scenes Photos - The Andy Griffith Show

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Just breathe...and remember, when you're stressed is when you most need to look at all the ways you're blessed.

No matter how dark the storms, you will be happy again...and you little dog too!

I think I'm falling for you...  :)

No one looks stupid when they're having fun. - Amy Poehler

Sometimes the best way to recharge our batteries is to unplug them.

Take time to do nothing for a while today.  Just be. You are a human being not just a human doing.

You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it.

Press forward.  Do not stop, do not linger in your journey, but strive for the mark set before you. - George Whitefield

If you can sit with your pain, listen to your pain and respect your pain - in time you will move through your pain. - Bryant McGill

Your lowest moment in life can be your best if you survive it and learn from it. - Brian Cuban

The scars from mental cruelty can be as deep and long-lasting as wounds from punches or slaps but are often not as obvious. - Lundy Bancroft

Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.

Best lesson I ever learned came from the worst feeling I ever felt.

It's not what happens to you that determines how far you go in life.  It's how you handle what happens to you.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  15. I liked the poster about storms, especially in view of Hurricane Matthew heading our way. Actually, I think our location will miss the brunt of it - I hope! But lots of folks are going to lose power. Our daughter in south Florida should be OK, but they may have to come stay with us for awhile because all the shelves in the grocery stores are empty and if they lose power and water...well. Heck, it will be fun to see the family again!

Also, I find Celtic music soothing (usually), and no one, I mean no one, beats Frank Sinatra! The photo of the Andy Griffith actors reminded me as to how most of our sitcoms these days are nothing more than sex and vulgarities. We tried to watch a new Netflix show the other night and turned it off after about 10 minutes of awful language and stupid sexual innuendoes. Obviously, the writers don't care about plot or character these days.

On a brighter note, thanks for your comment on Ocala! God held up us all if Trump should get elected. You remain a light on the horizon! Have a wonderful day!

  19. Hi Linda! I also watched the Andy Griffith video, my husband still watches reruns of the show. The Celtic music was really beautiful too. I'm Irish, and my daughter was involved in Irish Dance when she was in grammar school. Love it!
The meme about being a human being, not a human doing made me smile. Great thought for today!
    Blessings,

  20. An eclectic choice. I enjoyed the behind the scene one best.

It would be nice if you could add a "Like" button so that when one does not have anything of significance to comment he can mark attendance as it were by clicking on that.

  23. The birds are ever so cute. We have a fountain too and used to keep it running all the time. We could spend hours watching the birds drink and bathe. With the severe drought we're having we turned it off.

Awww on the seal pups. That was amazing.

I so loved the Andy Griffith Show. I have watched the reruns a time or two as well.

Have a fabulous day Linda. ☺

  33. Liked the animal videos the best. In the past I've often had an escort of seals swimming around my kayak in sea lochs as they are very curious about anything entering their domain and always check it out.

  34. I've always thought that if I were an animal, I would probably be a seal. So of course, I loved the seal pups. What animal would you be, Linda?

  35. I still watch Andy on TV at least once a week. He is still on some channel everyday-amazing:)

  36. More wonderful videos ~ What is it about birds splashing in water that is so soothing? I loved the Andy Griffith show, so it was fun to see the photos. And the music Celtic and Sinatra. Mom used to say that she and those of her generation were just as wild for Old Blue Eyes as my friends and I were for the Beatles. And the seals!!! Wow! Wow! I really struggle with taking the time just to be; it is very hard for me to do nothing, so thanks for the reminder! Hugs to you my dear friend!

  37. Linda, Loved the seal pup video! That gray pup sure liked to be rubbed and scratched...Acted like our cat when he gets is daily massage! FYI...My wife watches reruns of the Andy Griffith Show every afternoon that we're home... Have a great day! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  51. Celtic music is quite soothing and mystical.

"Your lowest moment in life can be your best if you survive it and learn from it." I definitely agree to this as someone who went through the crucible and persevered.
