Monday Magic
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are: Cat Takes her Kittens to Meet an Old Friend
Swinging Cow Brush
Autumn Serenade - Johnnie Johnston (1945)
How to Set an Autumn-Themed Table
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Everything will be okay...(just in case you're feeling a little boo). :)
This is your reminder to slow down. Slow down your talking. Slow down your breathing. Slow down your eating. Slow down your reacting to what others say and do.
I could do with one of those brushes – there is nothing nicer than a good back scratch! The autumn themed table is really pretty, I just love the colours. Lovely choices today, thank you for sharing them all. xx
Hi, Linda! Hope this Monday finds you doing well, and that it is not too cold in your area. We are still very warm (in the upper 80s) and the humidity is high. I wonder if this is our "new" weather pattern turned permanent?
Thank you for the reminders today, and the food for thought. Your encouragement and enlightenment always help. Wishing you a great week!
Greetings, LInda! Thanks again for your very nice comments. Today, I'm ready to rock and roll because of that kitty video with the mother cat, kittens and dog. What a delightful find! And there were a couple of posters that really spoke to me and I thank you for them, too. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
"Stop pressing rewind on things that need to be deleted from your life." This reminds me of a interview I listened to recently when Vin Scully (baseball announcer) retired. He said he credits living a long, enjoyable life to two words: Done, and Next. He said you've got to move on when something is DONE, and look for WHAT'S NEXT.
Dear Linda your wonderful post worked like magic for me. Loved the mama cat introducing her kittens to her friend. Such a sweet video. That cow brush was amazing. Never saw this before. The quote about kindness is so true. I certainly always find that wonderful gift here when I read your posts. Have a delightful day. Hugs!
Hi Linda. I really quite like the idea of having one of those cow brushes for myself. Maybe fixed above my favourite chair and my wine table or next to the bed above the alarm clock to soothe me when the music wakes me up.
Awwww, love the one with the lil' kittehs visiting their Uncle Dog! One of my dogs used to sleep with our cat all the time and only the cat was allowed into his house!
Hello Linda! I enjoyed your Monday blog today. The dog and kittens video is so sweet, we have a situation like this in our home right now, the rescue dog thinks the rescue kitten is her baby and it is the sweetest thing ever.
The 40s song, oh that we would have that climate of the 40s today, I think I should have been young in the 40! : ) We love 40s music here in our home!
The sayings are perfect, many very appropriate for me. We sometimes have to push the button and close past compartments or future ones in our ships and live in the moment. You would be surprised how right on and timely the quotes you chose are.
You take care now, I enjoyed everything and will be back to watch more of the videos! Great choices! Great visit with you today!
Linda, Love the mother cat and kittens with the mom's dog buddy. Once the kittens were introduced, mom just let the interaction happen...but the dog waiting to play 'rough' with mom when the opportunity presented itself! Never saw an automated cow brush before!
If more people that I know would just 'stop pressing rewind' on the things and people that they need to 'delete', they'd be so much more happy... Some folks apparently like to suffer...repeatedly! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I have a "thing" for table settings. I don't dress my own table very often, but I LOVE a creative table setting. Shiny glasses, nice crockery and cutlery and a little adornment - I think it gives a whole experience to a meal.
The statement about being so focused on the finish line and not enjoying the journey was particularly relevant to me. For years I've been so focused on my professional goals that I didn't realize until too late that my youth (my twenties) had passed me by, and I didn't let myself fully enjoy it because I was always working so hard.
Hi Linda! I loved watching the fall table video. It's not that hard, it just takes time and intention...it looks so pretty! the Karen Salmansohn images and quotes were perfect for me! I'm going to share them on Twitter :) Happy Tuesday! Ceil

ReplyDeleteso focused on the finish line that
ReplyDeletewe fail to find joy in the journey
Happens most times when something is pressing. The joy is in the journey or it'll be boring even upon reaching.
