Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. - Nathaniel Hawthorne

Good morning.  Don't start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday.  Every morning we wake up is the first day of the rest of our lives.

Some of your best dreams are with your eyes wide open, pay attention to them.

You don't have to be positive all the time.  It's perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared or anxious. - Lori Deschene

What we see depends mainly on what we look for. - John Lubbock

View change as chance.  It's a chance for something new and better to happen.

Think of yourself as negative-thought intolerant!  Just as drinking dairy is bad for the lactose intolerant, thinking negatively is bad for you.

You live longer once you realize that time spent being unhappy is time wasted.

Life is amazing.  And then it's awful.  And then it's amazing again.  And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing.  Hold on through the awful.  And relax and exhale during the ordinary.  That's just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life.  And it's breathtakingly beautiful. - L.R. Knost

Smile.  Even bad days have happy moments.  Look for them.

You will be too much for some people.  Those aren't your people.

Did you know that it takes less than 90 seconds for anger to "surge through our body and then be completely flushed out of our blood stream." - Jill Botte Taylor
Count to 90 as the stressful emotion takes you over and flows through you and watch it melt away and release you...

At the end of a long day...take time to relax and unwind.

There's a magical place inside you where nothing is impossible.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. Fabric softener. I wonder how many men bother to use that - perhaps, there are some who do not know there is such a thing. Salute all women, Happy International Women's Day.

  18. LOL! Love that Downy ad - my how the times have changed, Linda - it's always enjoyable spending an hour or two periodically to view an old movie, read an old book, and review something of history to remind us that our culture, society, and even ourselves, evolve over the course of years.

I like the Lubbock quote about seeing - and what we are looking for - boy is that ever true in every sense of the word!

My favorite is Princess Sassy Pants today to discover the magical place within us - EVERY DAY!

    Have a great week, L!

  24. As you might imagine, I did enjoy all the Salmansohn posters. She has a way of putting things that work for me. Re the tiny house: Not for me. It would work good as playhouse for some little girls, maybe. Kinda cute, though. I do remember Downy; in fact I think I saw Robert Downey in a TV show last night! :))

  25. Wow on that little house. You better not clutter the place either. So cute. I could live there.

Love the baby cubs. It's rare to have a human friend.

The bears and the dogs. Wow, never saw that kind of thing before.

Have a fabulous day, Linda. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

  26. Have always wanted to live in a house made of stone. I've collected rocks since I was a kid, and still do. Guess they speak to me.

  29. Indeed a very small stone cottage but a very nice house :-) Especially the lioness trust the man but I would still reluctant to continue. they are still wild animals. The hinds with polar bears is great to see.
You also have many beautiful weather and spells that are as always great to see and read.
    Greetings, Helma

  31. Fabric softener! I had to chuckle over that one, given my recent post and aversion to it - my nose was twitching at the smell all the time I was watching!
Lovely clips and quotes. Enjoy your week!

  32. The Downy fabric softener family sure are happy. Personally, I like my clothes hung to dry because it makes them hard and crinkly.

  33. The polar bear video was cute!

  34. Linda, Classy little stone house! Well designed but I can't see folks my age trying to make it up to bed in the loft. Having to come down in the middle of the night to use the loo could be a risky business too.

Love the lioness and the cubs... My wife and I were once able to hold baby lions, tigers and leopards. It was very cool but those kinds of "private zoos" have been greatly and properly restricted in the 30 years or so since we had that opportunity.

As for the polar bears and the huskies...Its a good thing that those bears are well fed. Not only would the dogs be considered a 'rival' for food resources in the wild, they would be considered as food! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  35. Los vĂdeos de la leona con sus crĂas con el hombre y los osos y perros jugando me han gustado mucho.
La sentencia que nos dice que cada amanecer es el primer dĂa de los que nos quedan por vivir es una gran verdad.

    Saludos.
