Mid-Week Relief

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Tortoise's Best Friend

Ways to Relax Your Body Before Bedtime - Sleep Sanctuary

Hysterical Parrot Has Case of the Giggles  :)

Why Swans in England Get the Royal Treatment

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Happiness is not having what you want.  It is appreciating what you have.

Stop and take a moment to admire all the beautiful things you take for granted every day.

Sometimes I just wish I had the wisdom of a 90 year old, the body of a 20 year old and the energy of a 3 year old.  :)

A smart person knows what to say.  A wise person knows whether or not to say it.

There is no royal road to anything.  One thing at a time, all things in succession.  That which grows fast withers as rapidly.  That which grows slowly, endures. - Josiah Gilbert Holland

The good life is a process, not a state of being.  It is a direction not a destination.

Stay humble.  Work hard.  Be kind.

When you start seeing your worth you'll find it harder to hang around people who don't.

Note to self:  let things go.

Courage is the ladder on which all the other virtues mount. - Clare Boothe Luce

You are my otter half.  (you are my other half)  :)

Life has a funny way of working out just when you start believe it never will.

Be the reason someone smiles today.

Breathe!  You cannot chase peace.  You must be at peace.

People need to learn that their actions do affect other people.  So be careful what you say and do, it's not always just about you!

Two mysterious people live in my house.  Somebody and nobody.  Somebody did it and nobody knows who!  :)

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  32. In the small town I grew up in a neighbour who lived near the golf course had a parrot - you can just imagine some of the language it picked up!

  33. Love the parrot and I particularly like the idea of having the wisdom of a 90 yr old etc.

  34. Linda, Wow! It's amazing how some people are so dedicated to protecting a specific species. I must admit that I never thought about someone needing a quarter acre per African Box Turtle... Relaxing before bedtime... No need for me. A little solitaire on the computer or not, I can still fall asleep in about 5 minutes 95% of the time. Lucky I guess!

I'd forgotten about the Queen and her swans. Love all the English tradition! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
