Wednesday Wonders
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Flying Heart - Leo Rojas
7 Ways to Beat the Heat - Hot Weather Hazards - Preventing Illness and Deaths in Hot Environments
Kvass (Thirsty for)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Fill your heart with what's important and be done with all the rest.
Did you know? A man named Nicholas Winton is responsible for one of the largest independent efforts to save Jewish children from the Nazi regime during WWII. He organized, raised money and took care of every detail to transport children to the U.K. In all, he saved the lives of 669 children...he never told anyone what he did for over 50 years, until his wife found the paperwork in the attic in 1988.
Do you remember that glasses and rings cleaning machine I posted on my blog the other day? This gag reminded me of that and it's exactly what I was worried about and why I'd not run my glasses and rings through the machine...actually, I thought the rings might disappear...then what would you do?
Good morning, dear Linda! It was fun seeing the facial expressions on those pranked people when they thought their glasses were being ground to bits. I have lived in Florida since 1984. I know the dangers of prolonged sun and heat exposure and try to stay indoors as much as possible during the spring and summer months. I can't wait to try Kvass, the Russian beverage made from rye bread and raisins, and I plan to tell Mrs. Shady about it at once.
Awe...loved all the little sayings today Linda. WOW! The Did you Know one----I didn't know! The little one that says Love is my armor....was my fav! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Hi Linda...sorry I've been away so long, but so much happening in my life at present that I've barely time to think! How wonderful to return to this amazing blog of yours...here, I truly find sanctuary from life's challenges.:) My heart-felt thanks...:))
Wonderful movies and I again laughed at laughter movies. The movie of Flying Heart I loved !!! What was that lovely !! There I really, really enjoyed it. Thank you Linda. Warm regards, Helma
"When you tell yourself that it's okay not to be at peace this very moment, then you become peaceful."/... love this quote.. I might apply it for myself sometimes
"Fill your heart with what's important and be done with all the rest." Boy is that ever true! That"flying heart" was absolutely beautiful! What a way to end my day, a very long day I might add. :-) My heart is always blessed when I visit you, dear Linda.
Thank you for your sweet visit and precious words left in a comment. May the Lord bless you.
If someone broke my sunglasses, I will be upset...not very funny joke. The true story about Nicholas Winton is very admirable! I wonder why some people follow blindly to evil leader's command and some people be courageous to do right thing?
Those cats are so beautiful and the JFL gag tickled me so much. A bit sad to see how instantly angry some of those people were though. Not like they ground up their poodle, it was sunglasses. People are really in love with their things aren't they? That ghose hugging the mushroom with the message of being in the moment whether it is a moment of joy or challenge was my favorite. Something I am trying to learn.
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
Some people say stressed is desserts spelt backwards...so when one is stressed, keep calm and eat dessert! LOL!!!
