Wednesday Wonders and a Thank You!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt "thank you" to all of you who commented on my long post yesterday. Your kind words, friendship and support mean so much to me! For those of you who might have missed this post you can find it Here The videos I have chosen for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Living in the Country - George Winston
Hot Water Soup - Green Acres
Wonderful Glider - Bernward Koch
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. If you walk in the footprints of others, you won't make any of your own.
I've seen better days, but I've also seen worse. I don't have everything that I want, but I do have all I need. I woke up with some aches and pains, but I woke up. My life may not be perfect...but I am blessed.
Hello Linda! Well, these pictures are so cute, with interesting words! For me, the best one is: "Someone else is praying for the things you take for granted."
I can relate to "some people are praying for the things you take for granted!" On another note, I read your very long post! I have some of those same issues. I hate it that you were put in a "special" class early on...sure pins a label on you! I too, am very sensitive. I cry easily and always have. As I got older, it got worse. I cannot deal with stress or criticism without crying. This made it impossible for me to work and so I too early retirement. I get anxious in crowded, noisy places, even our Red Hat dinners! Most people don't understand, but that is just the way God made me. He also made me to be very caring (sometimes too much and carrying the burdens of the world). I want to help and save everyone, volunteer for everything, donate money, what have you! Well, I don't have the money, and have learned to say "no." Still, when someone is hurting, I hurt for them. I cry for movies and books. I thought I was alone. I don't have the sensitivity to light, but can somewhat relate to the other stuff. I don't know how I handle casinos...perhaps because I can leave when I want or go to the restroom. Deb
I thought I was alone too, boopnut, until I read Linda's post. I am very sensitive too, and I cry so easily - It makes me crazy! btw, I can handle casinos too ~ they're not judgmental or critical ~ they just take your money. LOL!
I thoroughly enjoyed both pieces of relaxing piano music that you presented today, one played over a scene of serenity in the countryside, the other accompanying the spectacular motion of waves. Green Acres is one of the few comedy TV series that I didn't regularly watch in my youth. Lead actor Eddie Albert had a long life and died at age 99 while his lovely costar, Eva Gabor, died much younger and ten years earlier at age 76. Her sister Zsa Zsa is still alive at age 98. My favorite Eva Gabor quote is as follows: "Love is a game that two can play and both win." I would like to add that it is especially true of the highest form of love, unconditional love.
Yes Linda, I know of a few folk who "have a few bob" but the the same people lead pretty empty lives. Thank goodness I have my family and my moderate health despite my lack of money.
I missed your last post and found it quite interesting about HSP! I'm sending you lots of hugs! I love starting my day reading your posts...if I'm sad...it makes me smile! You have lots of friends here Linda!!!
Chicken feather soup! Ha! Reminded me of that old story "Stone Soup," I think I read it as a picture book when I was younger? Not sure.... Happy Wednesday :)
Dear Linda - read yesterday's post. So wonderful of you to share your journey with this condition. In this life it seems like everyone undergoes a challenge but it helps to know we are not alone. Your blog always strives to uplift and you certainly succeed my dear friend. I loved the music and video "Living in the Country". Thank you so much for making each visit here special. God Bless!
wow George Winston - i listened to most of it - and it reminded me that I had tapes...way back...imagine listening to cassette tapes, lol...of him. I enjoyed the video...and the rest of the post... I'll go back and listen to the other one.
