Friday Feelings
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
How to Make Spiced Milk Tea - Gourmet Magazine
Classic 1950's Soda Fountains, Buffalo and Rochester, New York - Forgotten Buffalo
Mini Potbellied Pigs Love on Alzheimer's Patients
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. You cannot protect yourself from sadness without also protecting yourself from happiness.
Don't live in the past, thinking about mistakes or changes you made. Think of your life as a book, move forward, close one chapter and open another. Learn from your mistakes, but focus on your future, not on your past.
We search for life on other planets and in other regions of our galaxy. Meanwhile, we destroy and ignore the other life on this planet. - Anthony Douglas Williams
Hello Linda!:) I also enjoyed the pigs vídeo. My mother had Alzheimer's, and I cared for her for six years. How she would have loved feeding the pot- bellied miniture pigs, and seeing their little wagging tails. Full of flu today Linda, so I'll love you and leave you.
Oh yes, the piggies are so cute and adorable! This video reminded me of my young days when my mom rear pigs behind our house. And I used to play with the piglets and bathe them.
the videos are very enlightening - i liked spiced milk tea, but i've never known how it's prepared. the use of the potbellied pigs for patients is also a surprise...
"We search for life on other planets and in other regions of our galaxy. Meanwhile, we destroy and ignore the other life on this planet." - Anthony Douglas Williams. The irony of it all, how very true! So sad, so tragic!
Hi!, it is I the rat! I have come to visit yet once again! What a wonderful day! I actually achieved a couple of things without hurting to bad! the weather was beautiful. I am checking all my blogs and then going to bed for some rest. life is good! I knew a fellow that had a pig with a collar and he would walk it with a leash! I don't know what his plan was for when the pig got big, a saddle perhaps! ha ha ha ha Later!
Hello Linda, Happy Friday! I've answered the poll. Thank you for today's words of wisdom. That's what I do sometimes - pretend I'm meditating when I have so much to do! Lol.
Love the gag. I've never been to that particular soda fountain, but soda fountains in general were part of my younger days. The Banana Bunch made me smile.
Good morning, dear Linda! Surely that spiced milk tea tastes great, but I suspect most modern Americans are in too much of a hurry to make it themselves. I appreciated the images of classic 1950's soda fountains. They reminded me of my old hangout the Shady Dell which had a menu that included at least 75 sweet drinks and sundaes made to order. I agree that animals are magic and enjoyed watching the pot bellied pigs spreading cheer among those Alzheimer's patients.
Thank you, dear friend Linda, and have a wonderful weekend!
Oh how wonderful to be here again! I just adore those cute little piggies...and your quotes are so uplifting and inspiring. I love them all! Thank you so much.:))

"Wakeup World" has such an important message, Linda! The gag was fun, especially after being at my niece's recent wedding! Love the classic soda fountain video ...Life would be a dream ... shaboom! shaboom! We found one old 50s style lunch counter at the Dutch Bakery in Victoria. Have a lovely weekend, Linda!
Forgot to say, you reminded me of wonderful memories when I was a young girl: my Great Aunt Maude taking me to a lunch counter in Charlottetown during the mid-1950s where we would have 7-Up and cheese and lettuce sandwiches. And of Dad taking me for hot fudge sundaes at various soda fountains in the Maritimes. I realized that that must be why I always want to sit at the bar on a stool or chair instead of at a table when we go to Parkway for drinks and dinner on Friday nights. Yippee! Today is Friday! Hope yours is awesome too! Hugs!
Yours is truly a peaceful place, that's why I do come here when I really allow me a moment of true rest to enjoy of everything you post, just for myself ! Bless you ! Dany
I try to remember to put things into perspective by asking myself if what's bothering me will still be important a year from now. Most things aren't really that important.
