Tuesday Cheer and a Sincere Thank You!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you all so much for your kind words and prayers and thoughts in reference to my attack of pseudogout. (the swelling and pain in my right ankle). Thankfully it did subside after a couple of days, returned in a less painful form and then left as quickly as it came, so I am very grateful. Thank you so much once again! :) The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Vintage Christmas Toys
Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians - An Old Fashioned Christmas Tree
Winter Sleigh Rides at Lake Louise
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. A good leader will build you up, not withhold their approval. - Eryn Erickson Be general with your words.
My new word: "blesson" It's when you're able to view painful lessons as blessings. In other words...a blesson is what happens when you see the blessing in the lesson that your challenge taught you.
You are an unfinished work in progress. One of the good things about life's challenges: you get to find out that you are capable of far more than you thought possible.
When I was 5 years old my mother told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote 'happy.' They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life. - John Lennon
I don't blame those swimmers for being spooked when a phantom hand grabbed them from underwater. I remember the days when kids received simple toys like the ones shown in the second video. I remember having a cork toy similar to the one shown. The Japanese exchange student who stayed at our home in 1963 brought with her a small collection of tiny Japanese dolls. I remember watching Guy Lombardo's New Year's Eve special every year until Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve became the choice of the younger crowd. I would love to take a sleigh ride in the snow. For the first time this season it is jacket weather here in Florida tonight.

Interesting video on Vintage Christmas Toys. Sometimes silence is more powerful than having the last word, this I have found to be true in most cases. Have a beautiful day, Linda!
Dear Linda! Am glad to know that you feel better, health is so precious. Thank you for your superb selection of quotes. I especially like that of silence, my mum always said that silence is an answer in itself, and it is worth gold. Otherwise I love the optimistic message with the dog wearing sunglasses, so cute. Have a nice day! ;-))
Glad you are feeling better, L ... wonder what the weather is like in your neck of the woods cuz ole man Winter sure arrived here in AB ... (will send you some, if you like ... smiles) ... thanks for your heart warming post ... Love, cat.
Cute gag video. Love the old fashion Christmas tree song the photos in it were terrific. Really liked the other videos also. Great quotes. Have a blessed day. Glad you are feeling better. Madeline
Dear Linda so glad to read you are better- gout can be so painful. The scary hand in the water would have frightened me. Loved hearing Guy Lombardo and seeing those old fashioned trees. Thank you for your wonderful post dear friend. Have a delightful day.
Well, I may not go swimming anytime soon! :) Funny gag. I loved the one with the moose and pumpkin. Those are rather big, scary animals. And I've always appreciate Guy Lombardo!
Linda, so sorry about your ankle. I just have been out of the loop. I love all your posts today! I especially like Blessons! Oh, and also the one about sleep, and sunglasses, oh heck....all of them! Deb
Me alegra mucho de tu recuperación porque es muy doloroso. Y me gusta la manera de como os deshaceis de las calabazas. Un enorme abrazo y se muy muy muy feliz.
Hi Linda, I wanted to thank you for stopping by and your sweet comments, however, you seem to be a "no reply blogger" and I can't find your email addy here on your blog.
Seems we have much in common and I look forward to getting to know you! I've been to Toronto but not Montreal. I understand it is a most beautiful city. I hope you have a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so glad to hear you're feeling better! I liked today's gag, though when my husband asked what I was laughing about and I showed it to him, he just said it was creepy. I also liked the vintage toys.
Looking at that video from the past, I wonder what would they think of us here in the present, and what will people be thinking of us now looking back from the future.
So many fun things in this post, Linda. The gag, of course. Some of those people really panicked when that hand confronted them in the water. The sleigh ride at Lake Louise would be so beautiful. Lake Louise is beautiful at any season. I could really relate to the sleep quote. The older I get the more trouble I have sleeping through the night. And I loved "Bee witched." :)
On the notes of Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians I've done such a lovely tour on this post of yours, my blessed Linda ! What lovely vintage images it contains ... and the Vintage Christmas Toys, How much I loved them ! Sending blessings on the end of your week with so much love Dany

ReplyDeleteDo you know that awesome feeling when you get into bed, fall right to sleep, stay asleep all night, and wake up feeling refreshed? Me neither.
I love that! I woke up about 50 times last night. Or fell asleep about 50 times. Not sure which,
I especially like the quote about silence. I believe it's TRUE! If only I would remember, though. ;))
ReplyDeleteLove the penny toys! And John's quote. Sweet post.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! :)
