Mid-Week Warmup
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: The 1940's House: The Boys' Bedroom
Duck and Ducklings Cry for Help!
Full House - There's a Car in the Kitchen
Annoyed Dog Followed Everywhere by Baby Ducks
I wanted to add this story about a sweet elderly lady who is 96 years old, who has her wish come true by meeting our Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. I smile every chance I get. It's not that life has been easy, perfect or exactly as I had anticipated, but I choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things I do have and the problems I know I don't have.
If you want to improve your life you must commit to changing your daily habits and creating a permanent lifestyle shift. You can't depend on quick fixes.
"If I'm wrong educate me. Don't belittle me." Great advice for some parents and teachers. There are those who unknowingly leave a dent in the kids' self-esteem by their insensitive remarks.
Hi Linda, thank you for sharing the videos on the ducklings. The first shows the mama duck came back for her babies. The 2nd video makes me laugh. The 2 cute little ducklings must have thought the poor dog is their mama. I was afraid the dog would accidentally sit on the ducklings!
You have some fun stuff this morning and I needed that. I feel like I'm in the middle of a nightmare after the election. I grew up in the 40s so that first item really brought back lots of good memories. In the 40s I lived in Willmar, Minnesota, Duluth, Minnesota and Los Angeles, California!
Fun videos today. And I liked the "Notice the people who make an effort to stay in your life." I have a best friend that is a wonder to me. We're both very different from each other and often look at things differently. I know it's sometimes work for her to be my best friend because it's sometimes work for me to be hers. But it's worth the effort.
I love that--we are still all learning. Life never stops, and thus we should be going through it with open eyes and open hearts. It's easy to close off.
Hi Linda! How sad that all those children had to be evacuated from their homes in WWII. I can't imagine how I'd react to sending off my children, even if it was for their own good. The 'there's a car in the kitchen' video was really cute! My daughter loved that show. Blessings, Ceil
Hi dear Cat, so glad I helped you to smile. :) I just checked out your travel blog but unfortunately I am unable to comment and don't want to use Facebook to do so. It is lovely, though, beautiful photos.
Thank you for the sweetness, friend. I always appreciate reminders about the power of gratitude and I enjoyed the ducklings and kitties today especially!
Thank you for always saying the kindest words, Linda .. xx (hugs). It means the world to many of us.
Notice the people who make an effort to stay in your life. <--- I am certainly noticing! Very wise indeed. It's easy to focus on the wrong things in life. ^.^
Good morning, Linda! What a cute post. I enjoyed the ducklings and the doggie video. So cute! Thanks for sharing. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
"Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching" is a great quote. I totally believe education should be a life-long experience! Also I liked the one about noticing the people who make an effort to stay in your life. I think we should also make a point of noticing those who don't make the effort. Life is a lot happier if we stay in "mutual" friendships where there is effort from both sides!
Hi Bethany, it is indeed happier if our friendships are mutual. And this goes for family, as well. Sometimes family members can't be bothered, and this is their choice, so the best thing is to just move on.
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. Comment moderation is enabled. I do hope that Blogger's changes in the way of proving that you are not a robot do not deter you from commenting! Thank you so much! If you have Google+ and are only allowing Google+ users to comment on your blog, I do not have, nor do I want it. And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
Perfect week for these links
