Mid-Week Serenity
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: No Roads, No Cars, Just Boats
A Popular Way to Cook Broccoli Removes Important Nutrients
Stationmaster Cat - Must Love Cats
How to Choose a Hat! (1946)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Don't listen to people who tell you what to do. Listen to people who encourage you to do what you know in your heart is right.
Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop and find your true sense of purpose in this life. Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.
You can't control how other people receive your energy. Anything you do or say gets filtered through the lens of whatever they are going through at the moment, which is not about you. Just keep doing your thing with as much integrity and love as possible. - Nanea Hoffman
Hello Linda!:)The slow pace of living would suit me just fine in the town with only boats and bicycles for transport. Thank you for all the inspirational quotes, and have a wonderful day.:)x
Love the quote about observing without evaluating - it's so freeing to enjoy Life with all its variations and differences! Hoping you are doing well, Linda. Wishing you a great Wednesday! hugs, de
Hello Linda, I hope you've been keeping well. Thank you for the great videos. The first one about the waterways is so lovely, what a beaut place to live too I also enjoy looking at the art work on your quotations too - as well as reading their messages. Some are quite beautiful. Cheerio and it's been really nice catching up with you. Cheers now :D)
A town without roads sounds quaint. A nice place to visit, I'm sure; but I don't know how it would be to live there. I'm definitely used to roads and cars. That's an amazing story about the cat that saved the train station.
Linda, I would love to visit Grethoorn Netherlands. Cruising the canals and staying in one of those waterbound homes would be very relaxing. The cat 'trainmaster' once again demonstrates just how popular cats are in Japan and it also shows what a little imagination can do for a business and the local economy! As for broccoli, we always steam it and I like it raw in my salads. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
One of my favorite movies, "The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant and Loretta Young (1947) has a scene that takes place in a hat shop, and the joy that Loretta Young's character displays with her new hat is marvelous!
Hi Linda, nice videos and quotes. I liked the broccoli video and never knew that people would boil it, we always steamed it and it's great. Laughter is the best medicine is my favorite quote. Thanks for posting and have a wonderful day.
I thoroughly enjoyed the videos you chose, Linda! I'm always impressed with how crafty the Dutch are, and I saw it everywhere in Grethoorn, I'm thinking now that I need to invest in organic broccoli and steam it. Toma the stationmaster kitty was so cute, and the hat choosing video reminded me of my mother who adored hats. Me, not so much! "Be an encourager..." is the quote that spoke to me today. It's an inspiring and important message. Have a great rest of the week, my dear friend!
Thanks for another wonderful post, friend Linda ... I fully can relate to the first 2 videos ... Have seen lovely Giethorn, Holland with ma own eyes ... And Broccoli is always welcome in my ketogenic meal plan ... Hope you have an awesome summer so far this year, friend ... Love, cat.

Thank you Linda! Love these two! Just for the record darling, not all positive changes feel positive in the beginning. The highest form of intelligence is the ability to observe without evaluating. Big Hugs!
