Winter Wonderland...Celebrating Winter!
Hi dear friends, I am sharing a few of my old photos that I took on January 2, 2011! As usual, whenever I take a walk in nature, rain or shine...or snow, (LOL!), I have my own entourage of animals that I "meet", and this winter stroll was no different. It was pretty cold, and part of the river was frozen over. There were many (and I mean MANY ducks, as you will see, and plenty of squirrels as well). I enjoyed the walk, cold or not, so I hope you will enjoy these old photos as much as I enjoyed taking them almost two years ago.

The video I have chosen for this post is Bing Crosby's Winter Wonderland.
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I really appreciate reading your thoughts, which you can always share!

ReplyDeleteHi Gorges, thanks, my friend. :)
DeleteThanks for taking the time to drop by Texas. I love your part of the world. So much beauty and interesting things to see. Regardless of when your pictures were made, they were new to me. Happy holidays to you and family.
ReplyDeleteHi LV, thank you so much for your comment. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas.
DeleteYou can see that the river is frozen over...the poor ducks!
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly when I saw them, Ginny...but they did enjoy my company, which I was very happy to provide.
DeleteBing's song is a proper background for your winter wonderland. Looks too cold for man or ducks, though! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you're weekend is full of fun stuff!
Hi Lowell, it was cold indeed for both myself and the animals. :) Hope your weekend is good as well.
DeleteIt's amazing how long Bing Crosby's music has lasted. Every year at Christmas, we hear his songs, especially White Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Ms. Sparrow...his music is timeless. Thank you so much for your comment.
DeleteOn of my all time favorites songs. A small lift was much appreciated on the sad day after yesterdays horrible events...
ReplyDeleteThank you, troutbirder, I am so glad to have provided a small lift for you.
DeleteIt's possible, Linda, that you don't see me for a few days, because I'm blogging on another (very old) computer an it takes so much time to come on your blog.
ReplyDeleteNext week, I hope it is repaired and them I'm back.
Lie(f)s.
Take care of yourself, Lies, I hope your computer issues get sorted out. :)
DeleteThis is really Christmas, Linda! Beautiful impression with your great pictures and that timeless Christmas song. Have a nice day. Greetings, Joke

They definitely can, Filip!
DeleteThe birds don't like ice & snow, it must be hell of job to get food, but, it is nice to watch the passing climate.
ReplyDeleteLOL Bob! No, they don't...but they seemed to enjoy my company. :)
