Ducks, Humour & Ballroom Dancing!

Hi everyone!  It is so nice to see you all!  Today the weather is really nice and mild, and we had some snow.  However, it is supposed to get really cold again Monday, so I enjoyed the warmer temperatures today...and will again tomorrow!

For this post I am sharing a cute and humorous one minute video on ballroom dancing...the do's and don'ts.  This video was made in 1926.  Hope you all enjoy it!

As for the photo I am sharing today, I took this photo in the summer of 2011.  I went to a park at sunset to see and photograph the ducks and got a nice surprise.  There was an elderly woman in a wheelchair with her grandson, right by the water, and this beautiful, sweet elderly woman was feeding the ducks.  It was very touching to see her interact with them and how much the ducks loved her and came right up to her.  I asked the grandson if I could take a photo of him with his grandmother and he happily obliged.
You just need to click on the photo to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts, which you can always share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  5. It's a shame dancing isn't the same anymore. Even at weddings.

  8. The video and its music was fun to watch, esp the "steps"...in the photo, I sincerely hope that they watched their steps, too, with all those ducks around!

  11. Sometimes the smallest pleasures bring the greatest joy. Which will be the most memorable...feeding the ducks, or time shared between grandmother & grandson? Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if the elderly had moments like these to share with family or friends on a regular basis? Thanks again for sharing, Linda. You always make me smile!
