Extremely interesting video on cuttlefish, Linda !
ReplyDeleteAnd great shots of the geese - very detailed.
I'm actually terrified of geese, they always look like they're ready to attack you and they're so loud too! Hehe I have a cam which can zoom quite far, so I usually take photos of them from a distance.
ReplyDeletethose fish are pretty creepy-looking, but I can see how it's related to the octopus
ReplyDeletethat's really up close and personal with the goose! i love friendly creatures, and i'm glad she was trusting of you :D
ReplyDeleteYour first photo is competition worthy, I would have it printed and framed, absolutely superb. Those feathers, nature is marvellous. Greetings from Jean
ReplyDeleteFascinating video of cuttlefish and gorgeous goose !
ReplyDeletespennende video og flotte bilder !
ReplyDeleteyou got great shots, I get so excited when anything non domesticated comes up to me even better when they stay long enough for photos. So many of the underwater creatures have the most amazing chameleon qualities the Cuttlefish is certainly one of them.
ReplyDeleteShe still looks a bit stern, though!
ReplyDeleteSaw a great documentary on cuttlefish a while back, absolutely amazing, would love to come across them in the sea.
ReplyDeleteHere's a little rib tickler.......
"Canadian geese are known to fly in a “V” shaped as they migrate across the county.
The lead goose in the “V” cuts through the air making it easier for the rest of the geese behind him.
As that lead goose becomes tired, he will drop off and join one of the sides and a new lead goose will take over.
This is done several times as they are flying long distances.
Question: So if you look up in the sky and see a “V” shape of geese and one side is longer than the other, do you know what that means?
Answer: There are more geese on that side."
Lovely post as always my friend
ReplyDeleteThose fish are amazing! I love to see them change.
ReplyDeleteGreat close-ups of the geese!
That cuttlefish video was super ~ I would have shown it to my third graders! We always studied the mollusks, a fascinating invertebrate group! Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteThat´s an enchanting goose.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip

Nice, Linda, the goose, and so close !
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
I like geese. Great photos. I used to see lots of them around the lake I walked around where I used to live. I'd love spring time when all the babies were around.
ReplyDeleteLinda - such an interesting video - I had never seen these fish before. How amazing that their skin takes on texture like gravel. I am always learning something interesting when I visit you dear. As for those geese - such lovely photos - so glad you got close ups. Take care and have a great day.
ReplyDeletel'oie est superbe
