Oh, and for my fellow bloggers who have Google+. I am unable to comment on blogs that allow only Google+ users to comment. I don't have Google+ and do not want it, and from many of the negative comments I have heard from fellow bloggers saying that it complicated things for them and changed things whereas they didn't want the changes, I am relieved I do not have it and just hope that Google doesn't force its Blogger users to switch to it. Don't get me wrong, it isn't that I don't like trying new things, it is just that when I do, I like to make a conscious choice and effort to do so, and I don't like to be forced into joining something that doesn't interest me. I like Blogger very much and enjoy doing my blog, but just because Google owns it, I don't wish to be forced into getting Google+. Thanks so much for your understanding.
The videos I have selected for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Montreal Winter Vacation - The Magic of Winter
The Happy Koi Pond
Duke of Kent Tour Bus Garages (1940)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
I can't comment on those posts, either. Though I am thinking about a G+ account, for food stuff.
ReplyDeleteI feel the exact same way you do!! And it is getting harder and harder to comment to those on Google Plus without joining. It is very frustrating. I hope I am not forced to do it! LOVE the cat one!!!
ReplyDeleteI took a break around the holidays and it was so hard to get back into my groove. I agree with your comments about Google + I hope Blogger doesn't force the change.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy blogging too, & one of the best parts is meeting nice friendly bloggers like you. Really like coming here for some laughs, Linda! xo
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post very much.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made Google+ my comment box but I LOVE Google+ ...I use it more than any social media out there. I connect with many people through it and since I have it I can pretty well comment on any blog that comes along. I'm a bit of a social media fan, the more ways I can connect with people the better ♡
ReplyDeleteThat quote about cats and gods is so funny!
ReplyDeleteI love the Magic of winter! It's so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteYes, blogging keeps me going, keeps me mentally active and it is something I enjoy. I think if I should stop for awhile, I probably would not come back again. Have to maintain the momentum.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, especially the last one, so so sweet!
gros bisous
Delightful. I share your ambivalence toward Google Plus. It totally confuses me and that's not the sort of thing I like in a public forum. Google Friend Connect and a calm inquiry into the hospitality of good minds is all I want in a social medium. Blogger suffices. My compliments and best wishes.
ReplyDeletei'm glad you derive a lot of positive things from your daily blogging, and your readers definitely do as well, linda, since you post so much thoughtful and uplifting material :) but if you ever feel like you need to take a break, do feel free to do so, since we will continue to wait for you to return after the break! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to visit here and read your posts! You bring happiness to us readers too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the positive inspired thoughts, very meaningful for us to ponder and apply them.
ReplyDeleteI hate Google + also. Sometimes if you click on a post heading it will take you to the persons blog and then you can comment.
ReplyDeleteCats are gods. We've got two and they've left me with no doubts as to their deity. But they're also little furry friends and I don't know what we'd do without them!
Linda, we are equally thankful for YOU as well :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your posts Linda which are always inspirational with a generous sprinkling of humor. It must take some effort on your part with the links and it is greatly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI have fun blogging and it does often give me breaks from harsh reality!
ReplyDeleteI have Google+, which was required when I wanted to post a video on Youtube. I think my blog is kept non-Google+..don't know how things work but I want to keep this way!
Love the Baby Kitty quote. My kitties haven't forgotten that, either :-)
Loved the "blind" guy walking. Good one. Thanks for the visit this morning.
ReplyDeleteI like the cat there.
ReplyDeleteDon't have Google+ and I too hope that we are not forced into using it..
You inspire us with your posts. Please don't go anywhere! :)
ReplyDeleteCatching up Linda, nice sentiments and thanks for your comments on my posts.
ReplyDeleteI suppose Google + is OK once you know what you're doing with it, but it does seem pretty complicated.
I always enjoy reading the items you put on your blog every day. I'm glad it is good therapy for you. It's good therapy for us too! :)
ReplyDelete" the magic of winter" est superbe Linda
ReplyDeletegreetings
Blogging can be a good thing though stress can set in if a person lets it. I tried Google + but didn't like it at all.
ReplyDeleteLoved all the videos and quotes once again. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteJe te remercie Linda pour ces jolies citations
ReplyDeleteBisous
Manon
Hi Linda, I'm in agreement with you about Google+. I find it more confusing than helpful. When I try to comment on someone's blog who uses G+ I often find it's confusing between what they have put on there from other people and what is their own stuff. Since I have a G account, it seems I have G+ as well. I hope, when people try to comment on John's Island, that they are not sent to G+. Could you let me know how that works for you? I sure enjoy your blog and almost always leave with a smile or a nod in agreement with one of your quotations. Thank you for sharing, as always. John
ReplyDeleteCats have never forgotten their worshipful days! The Egyptians had it right!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad blogging brings you happiness! I enjoy reading your words here and seeing the different things you've chosen. I also agree with you 100% about Google+. I don't want it either. If Blogger "forces" us to do it one day, I'll move my blog to another platform.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about Google+!
ReplyDeleteI downloaded Drop Box onto my laptop and found it very invasive! Louis Dean had to take it to the Geek Squad and they removed it for me!
Enjoyed your post and learning more about you! Have a good Wednesday! The quads should be arriving here at any moment so my day will be BUSY!
the magic of winter ist great !
ReplyDeleteI admire your tenacity to Blog everyday. I hope you can still comment on my Blog.mindidnt know Google + is not allowing people to comment without Google +. I have to look into it.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteI'm selfishly very glad you don't take blogging breaks!
XXX
Your blog allows for a break for us readers as well, because I'm always leaving here with a smile.
ReplyDeleteThe Super Bowl commercials this year, really pulled at our heartstrings!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI never touch bored with you:-) The various movies including this again to the blind man or that the snow is beautiful to see. You have many text pictures inspire me Telkes again.
Many thanks for getting these beautiful items.
Warm Greetings, Helma
I agree with you on Google+. It is no good for blogging or comment forms, but I do keep an account (similar to my Facebook account) without associating it with my blog--that way I can share there and comment on Google+ users blogs.
ReplyDeleteExcellent quote by Joelle Hood!
Linda, I love visiting here! There is always something, funny, silly or touching that makes my day! I am on Google plus but I refused to connect my blog and eventually Google stopped bugging me about it! It too would probably move my blog if I was forced into connecting it with Google plus. I like using G+ for my business but not for my blogging! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe gag: I stopped breathing, Linda !
ReplyDeleteMagic..., your winter...
Blogging is therapy for me too, but sometimes there are lots if other things to do that I do take some day off:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me laugh.
Here is snowing and both me and my cat doesn't want it:)
I feel bad when someone stops by and visits my blog and thoughtfully leaves me a comment and then I go visit their blog ...love it and then find I need google plus to comment. I do not think they realize we can not comment. :( Your top kitty photo of the gray cat reminds me so much of my beloved Lucy who past away a few months ago. I love the variety of videos and posters you use...one can always come away satisfied with your finds. :)
ReplyDeletethe blind guy really has luck, hasn't he! :-)))))
ReplyDeleteOh Linda...love that first video..so funny! Yes blogging is wonderful and I find it very relaxing...it does take time out from daily routines but I try to take an hour (or two) in the mornings with my coffee...However, I don't like change and I don't want google+ !! so I hope they don't change it..I'm not computer savvy and would be lost! I guess that's why I love your last quote..lol
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about the google plus. Love your pretty post today!
ReplyDeletethat cat one is very funny
ReplyDeleteI also don't really like google plus, I find it very complicating.
