Thursday Thoughts and More About Myself

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!

Thank you all so much for your kind wishes in regards to my yesterday's post about the heat and humidity.  Wednesday turned cold in comparison to Monday and Tuesday!  The temperature had reached 32 celsius on Tuesday and went down to 9 celsius on Wednesday morning, and Wednesday was quite chilly and windy.  At least you can put a sweater or jacket on and adjust layers when it is chilly, so the chillier weather is O.K. for me.  Thanks so much for listening.

The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

This Teacup Poodle Rides Elevators to Visit Friends

Celtic Harp (Miniature) - Zelijka Milosevic

Jerusalem, Israel: Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock

Red, White and Blue Smoothie (Thirsty for)

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

I have faith, I have hope, I have strength, I am healing.

A mother's love is peace.  It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved. - Erich Fromm

A dog is not a 'thing.'  A 'thing' is replaceable; a dog is not.  A 'thing' doesn't have a heart.  A dog's heart is bigger than any 'thing' you can ever own.

Believe that your acts of kindness make a difference. They do.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  1. Oh my GOSH! That little poodle! He knows which rooms to go to, and who to see, and when to see them. An amazing story! I have a bad dog story today, and you have a good one! How totally amazing. And yes, I do believe the little dog is doing God's work.

  6. I do agree that a dog is not a thing. It is not property...a pet is always a living being and we should respect that....I do love dogs and I'm sorry I can't have one at the moment.

I clicked on that video about Jerusalem...It is a city I would surely love to visit some day.

  11. Good morning, dear Linda! I had to laugh when I saw people getting squirted with water in today's gag video. That tiny poodle brings joy and hope to those sick elderly folks. What a wonderful idea to have that sweet animal show up for visits. Everybody wins. I am eager to try that patriotic blueberry based smoothie. It's colorful and looks creamy and delicious.

    Thank you, dear friend Linda!

  12. I hate squirt guns but do like teacup poodles. Harps always remind me of my mortality. But they sound nice!

  13. Wow! I don't think I'll survive such drastic drop in temperature. I'll be sick! Today, in the Philippines, it was 41 degrees C. How hot can our country be????

  14. Bonjour Linda,
En effet il y a eu un gros revirement de température, c'est le vent que j'aime moins... Et je trouve vraiment touchant le réconfort que procure le mignon petit caniche aux personnes âgées ♥

    Je t’embrasse fort

  17. Got a good laugh out of the gag video. That little dog was so cute and it was so great how he brought happiness to the older people. Enjoyed the other videos too. All the quotes were fantastic. Have a blessed day. Madeline

  26. The story about the poodle is very touching. If I were in a nursing home, it would certainly bring joy to my day to have that little critter come to see me. I enjoyed the short clip about Jerusalem, too. It's a city often in my prayers.

  27. Celtic Harp (Miniature) - Zelijka Milosevic was so relaxing and enjoyable Linda. I like any type of music except metal rock and all that crazy type of music. It was cold early this morning also. Heat is in the area and the next few days will be lovely. Have a wonderful evening my friend. See ya.

  28. Where do you find these, Linda?!!!!!!! The first gag with the water is amazing..
laughed with that one ...then you had to have the Nursing home with the little poodle (which I fell in love with) I know it was a happy one so why did I cry?
I think having an animal in a nursing home is better than having a doctor!!!!
thank you so much for a wonderful post.

  31. Hi Linda, i hope you're ok now with your body pain cause of the weather. Were doing fine here in the Philippines as we use summer to go out and enjoy the beach.

I would throw my bet on the last pic, aside from i love the way the cat look (can i take that cat home), i love the caption too! Happy blogging!

  33. Hi Linda! I loved that little poodle, going visiting all my himself! WEATHER...I sometimes don't even like to think about it. Summer time is and I am hot. I'm already waiting for fall !!! I would much rather be cold than hot. Happy Thursday!

  34. Wonderful, and as they always are, your posts are fun from beginning to end. It's gone chilly here today too Linda, and very rainy. I would need a cardigan and an umbrella if I went out today :)

  35. Almost always being either too hot or too cold is a tough way to live a life.

  36. True...Dogs, cats and others pets are not a thing. It's sad to see sometimes people will buy or adopt a cat/dog then later on when they got tired of it , they just left it at roadside for them to fend themselves

  37. That is quite a dramatic temperature change Linda. Great post.
