Well, both Monday and Tuesday have been pretty hot and humid here in Montreal, and for those of you who know me well, I have a lot of trouble in this kind of heat. It didn't help that I went out on both days, so now my head and stomach are causing me discomfort. When this happens I lose my appetite so I eat lightly and drink plenty of water until I start to feel more like myself again. Not only does it affect my arthritis but I perspire profusely and have to be very careful, as I am susceptible to heat stroke and fatigue. Thankfully there is central air conditioning where I live, because without it I would not be able to survive...literally. I do drink plenty of water and try to stay cool, but when I have to go out when it is like this....yikes. My mother told me that ever since I was a baby I would sweat in the heat, so it is just the way I am! Thanks so much for listening, and I would so much appreciate your prayers and thoughts. Hugs.
The videos I have chosen for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Cucumber Limonade
Cats Spooked by Toasters Compilation
Summer's Rain - Soothing Piano Music
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. The quotations for them are directly above each image.
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day!
Ahahaha the toaster cats! A few times I got as spooked as they did :) Makes me want to try it with my fur-ends. The Just for Laughs was wonderful too. I am a big fan of central air as well. I stay very warm year round so summer is my least favortie season. Glad you have methods to manage with it. Thanks for the sweet visit to my blog!
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that you have such a rough go with the heat. Happy to hear you have good air inside, though.
ReplyDeleteJust got your comment about the humans and I agree. It's horrible. Thankfully, in our house, we love ours and take good care of them. Tim just bought me a new book on making treats and meals for them. Love that.
DeleteEnjoy your day, I'm ready to close the lid on this day and catch some zzzzzz.
I LOVE the cats and toasters and can't wait to show Phil! You are like me with the heat. Hey, I use a little fan necklace that you hang around your neck. It works really well and puts a cool blast on your face for as long as you want. It is 02Cool and you can find them in different colors. I got mine on Amazon. I also just got a little tiny fan that also sprays you with water. It was cheap at Bed Bath & Beyond. You can use it either with or without water. They are actually both lifesavers for me. I would never have been able to go to the zoo without them.
ReplyDeleteThe cat-and-toaster video is a hoot! Stay cool! :)
ReplyDeleteTake care of your health. I have written a post based on how we can protect us from summer. Visit my blog and enjoy reading them...
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that you problems with the heat. I hope there will be cooler days.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better real soon Linda. So sorry this heat and humidity affects you so. Another fun post my friend, thank you :)

I see what you mean Linda. A great post, hope you are cool! :) Nearly forgot to say I loved the piano piece too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to feeling better much sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteHope you are soon feeling much improved. I wonder how hot it was in temperature and humidity along with dew point. I remember ages ago someone from the USA had written that is was 10 deg C I converted it, and they thought it was hot. Not that I am saying that with you, as I consider 30 degC and up hot.....just saying and wondering,
ReplyDeletedo take care, and sending positive energy your way ... i get uncomfortable in heat and humidity even though i live in a country that's always hot and humid ... so i usually retreat indoors whenever possible!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have u in my life, L ... be well, friend, eh? ... and pleeeaase send some heat ... smiles ... Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteI suffer in the heat too, I hope you can cope better with it now. The cats and toasters were hilarious! Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, great videos you have picked. Nice quotes too. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteKL is always sunny and hot and the aircond is a big help, no doubt.
Sorry to hear about your troubles with the heat. I also have problems with extreme temperatures, except I don't sweat which is also a problem. Hope things cool down and you get to feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYou would probably melt in tropical Malaysia!
ReplyDeleteI guess it's not very nice to laugh at the scared cats, but I loved that video. Thanks for bringing some smiles to my wednesdaymorning!
ReplyDeletecoucou passage rapide j'ai pas mal de boulot
ReplyDeletebisous et a demain
Same here, so very hot I would be perspiring from every pore, all drenched. Have to change my t-shirt often or I'd catch a chill if sitting by the fan or aircon. Drink lots of water! I do that too!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteI can't tolerate the summer heat and humidity very well either. Here in Florida, the temperature is already exceeding 90. Seems like this is cucumber week on your blog. That cuke lemonade looks very refreshing and I will bring it to Mrs. Shady's attention. It was fun seeing those kitties spooked by toasters. In spite of getting a good scare, I'm sure their curiosity will keep them coming back for more.
Have a wonderful Wednesday, dear friend Linda!
Silly kitties.
ReplyDeleteCoucou Linda,
ReplyDeleteLe vidéo des chats m'a bien fait rire!
Bisous et Mes pensées vont vers toi (◔‿◔)♥
Manon
I had no idea they were so spooked by a toaster
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I hope you have a beautiful day. Lots of fun videos. I will certainly show my grandson the cats and toasters.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy all your quotes and for me it is a big job to find them all other internet :) So you are a hero. Thank you for thinking of us, for inspiring us, for showing your love to world. Here it is not that hot, but I wish to be a bit warmer... Missing summer ahhh. Kisses and hugs from another part of the Earth. Liuba x
ReplyDeletethe cat and the toast are cool :-)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, hope you're resting well, Linda. I'm sure those Cucumber Limonade will work well on you :D
ReplyDeleteHa,ha,ha regarding the cats & toasters. They really must have more lives then ever. I'd like to try that Cucumber Limonade. Sounds pretty cool for the summer. Sorry to hear about some difficulties that you have when it's hot. My daughter has sweat problems. We're trying different methods for her and some have done well. As far as our prime minister, I'm not a lover of Conservatives especially not for him. I say give Trudeau a chance. Even if he screws up, he can't be any worse the Harper. Sorry for my negative attitude. I'm not impressed with politics nor politicians.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful Wednesday Linda. See ya.
Cruisin Paul.
Thanks for another nice batch of quotes!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I too sweat a lot. As I age, it is getting worse. I have to choose the clothes to wear especially in our humid weather. I enjoyed the cats and toaster video!
ReplyDeleteLinda I hope you are feeling better. Enjoyed the videos and quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteAwe Linda...praying for you today sweet lady and asking our Lord to keep you closely in His care. You best be careful especially with this heat! I don't do hot weather very well either. I can remember when I used to love hot summer days but getting older and MENTAL POSAL...NOPE! Gotta have the AC! I loved the cat being spooked by the toaster and the piano music is just beautiful! But my favorite was REST ASSURED.....Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Linda hoope you wille feel better soon .. talke care of you
ReplyDeleteThe kitty video is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry the heat has caused you discomfort. I hope you feel better soon.
Oh, I remember that nasty humidity, Linda, while living in Michigan for so many years. My mom convinced me to do as much as I could in the morning hours. I will pray that this will be an easy summer for you. Thank you for the wonderful collection today. The quotes were particularly relevant.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have kicked out the glass in the phone booth door very quickly! I wonder if anybody did that in the course of the gag. Never have heard of cucumber limeade but it sounds rather refreshing, especially on a hot day. And your skeleton speaks wonders. St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in the U.S. situated on the northeast Atlantic coast, is finding water rising under the city and some of the old brick streets are crumbling. But our governor sees no problem and has banned anyone in the state government from using the words, "Climate change," or "global warming." Aargh!
ReplyDeleteI'd gladly trade you our cool weather...there needs to be an exchange set up somewhere ;)
ReplyDeleteSummer's Rain is so beautiful Linda, I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteA scary gag, Linda !
ReplyDeleteNice quotes !
Please take good care of yourself...
Poor cats. I hope they get revenge on their human staff for doing that!
ReplyDeleteI don't like humidity either. Today has been considerably cooler though.
Hola Linda, como siempre preciosa elección. Un besin.
ReplyDeleteI'm still on the cucumber lemonade. Exceptional. Thanks. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
The cats are very funny.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Also very warm here in Singapore at this time, I also prefer cold than hot, cold you can put on thick clothings, but hot is unbearable
ReplyDeleteThe cat video is soooooo funny
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that window and door quote.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, linda!
ReplyDeletemaybe you can come here, because in belgium, the weather stays cold this year. ;-))
Oh pauvres petits chats, quelle frousse ils ont hihihi... Bise et bon jeudi tout en douceur!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty hot over here too. I suspect the annual haze will be back again soon :(
ReplyDeleteTake care, Linda. Drink more water. Barley water is very good
I never heard of cucumber lemonade before...sounds interesting. Ha ha ha, cat and toaster, so cute and funny!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're OK...
You must be relieved the heat is gone!
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
