Wonder Filled Wednesday and More About Myself

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!

Well, both Monday and Tuesday have been pretty hot and humid here in Montreal, and for those of you who know me well, I have a lot of trouble in this kind of heat.  It didn't help that I went out on both days, so now my head and stomach are causing me discomfort.  When this happens I lose my appetite so I eat lightly and drink plenty of water until I start to feel more like myself again.  Not only does it affect my arthritis but I perspire profusely and have to be very careful, as I am susceptible to heat stroke and fatigue. Thankfully there is central air conditioning where I live, because without it I would not be able to survive...literally.  I do drink plenty of water and try to stay cool, but when I have to go out when it is like this....yikes. My mother told me that ever since I was a baby I would sweat in the heat, so it is just the way I am! Thanks so much for listening, and I would so much appreciate your prayers and thoughts. Hugs.

The videos I have chosen for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Cucumber Limonade

Cats Spooked by Toasters Compilation

Summer's Rain - Soothing Piano Music

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  The quotations for them are directly above each image.

It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day!

  1. Ahahaha the toaster cats! A few times I got as spooked as they did :) Makes me want to try it with my fur-ends. The Just for Laughs was wonderful too. I am a big fan of central air as well. I stay very warm year round so summer is my least favortie season. Glad you have methods to manage with it. Thanks for the sweet visit to my blog!

    1. Just got your comment about the humans and I agree. It's horrible. Thankfully, in our house, we love ours and take good care of them. Tim just bought me a new book on making treats and meals for them. Love that.

Enjoy your day, I'm ready to close the lid on this day and catch some zzzzzz.

  3. I LOVE the cats and toasters and can't wait to show Phil! You are like me with the heat. Hey, I use a little fan necklace that you hang around your neck. It works really well and puts a cool blast on your face for as long as you want. It is 02Cool and you can find them in different colors. I got mine on Amazon. I also just got a little tiny fan that also sprays you with water. It was cheap at Bed Bath & Beyond. You can use it either with or without water. They are actually both lifesavers for me. I would never have been able to go to the zoo without them.

  11. Hope you are soon feeling much improved. I wonder how hot it was in temperature and humidity along with dew point. I remember ages ago someone from the USA had written that is was 10 deg C I converted it, and they thought it was hot. Not that I am saying that with you, as I consider 30 degC and up hot.....just saying and wondering,

  20. Same here, so very hot I would be perspiring from every pore, all drenched. Have to change my t-shirt often or I'd catch a chill if sitting by the fan or aircon. Drink lots of water! I do that too!

  21. Good morning, dear Linda!

I can't tolerate the summer heat and humidity very well either. Here in Florida, the temperature is already exceeding 90. Seems like this is cucumber week on your blog. That cuke lemonade looks very refreshing and I will bring it to Mrs. Shady's attention. It was fun seeing those kitties spooked by toasters. In spite of getting a good scare, I'm sure their curiosity will keep them coming back for more.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, dear friend Linda!

Here it is not that hot, but I wish to be a bit warmer... Missing summer ahhh. Kisses and hugs from another part of the Earth. Liuba x

  28. Ha,ha,ha regarding the cats & toasters. They really must have more lives then ever. I'd like to try that Cucumber Limonade. Sounds pretty cool for the summer. Sorry to hear about some difficulties that you have when it's hot. My daughter has sweat problems. We're trying different methods for her and some have done well. As far as our prime minister, I'm not a lover of Conservatives especially not for him. I say give Trudeau a chance. Even if he screws up, he can't be any worse the Harper. Sorry for my negative attitude. I'm not impressed with politics nor politicians.
Have a beautiful Wednesday Linda. See ya.

  32. Awe Linda...praying for you today sweet lady and asking our Lord to keep you closely in His care. You best be careful especially with this heat! I don't do hot weather very well either. I can remember when I used to love hot summer days but getting older and MENTAL POSAL...NOPE! Gotta have the AC! I loved the cat being spooked by the toaster and the piano music is just beautiful! But my favorite was REST ASSURED.....Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  35. Oh, I remember that nasty humidity, Linda, while living in Michigan for so many years. My mom convinced me to do as much as I could in the morning hours. I will pray that this will be an easy summer for you. Thank you for the wonderful collection today. The quotes were particularly relevant.

  36. I think I would have kicked out the glass in the phone booth door very quickly! I wonder if anybody did that in the course of the gag. Never have heard of cucumber limeade but it sounds rather refreshing, especially on a hot day. And your skeleton speaks wonders. St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city in the U.S. situated on the northeast Atlantic coast, is finding water rising under the city and some of the old brick streets are crumbling. But our governor sees no problem and has banned anyone in the state government from using the words, "Climate change," or "global warming." Aargh!

  37. I'd gladly trade you our cool weather...there needs to be an exchange set up somewhere ;)
