Thursday's Post and a New, Simple Poll!

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!
I have just added a new poll at the top right hand column of my blog!  I just want to know what month you were born.  Thanks so much for participating in my polls, I really appreciate it!  :)

The videos I have selected for this post are:

How to Take Care of a Cockatoo

A Drone in Iceland

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Letting go is part of moving on to something better. You will not get what you truly deserve if you're too attached to the things you're supposed to let go of. Sometimes you love, and you struggle, and you learn, and you move on.  And that's OK.  You must be willing to let go of the life you planned for so you can enjoy the life that is waiting for you.

It's better to let go and look forward into the future instead of the past.  Life is too short to be angry all the time when there is actually happiness around you.

Once upon a time is now...let happily ever after begin today!

How emotions harm your body...anger weakens your liver, grief weakens your lungs, worry weakens your stomach, stress weakens your heart and brain, fear weakens your kidneys, love brings in peace and harmony and strengths your mind and body. Laughter reduces stress, and a smile spreads happiness.

Enjoy the wonders of today.  You never know what tomorrow may bring!

It is never too late to be what you might have been. - George Eliot

You can't calm the storm, so stop trying.  What you can do is calm yourself.  The storm will pass.

I need a six month vacation twice a year.

The ones who notice the storms in your eyes, the silence in your voice and the heaviness in your heart are the ones you need to let in.

The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Mittens and Rufus wanted today's wedding ceremony to include traditions from both of their cultures.

What is a cat's favorite magazine?  Good Mousekeeping.  :)

Save a paw.  Don't declaw!

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. Thank you Linda, I don't know how you find such a lovely variety to share with us. Each day is a delightful surprise.

  2. Hello Linda. A wonderful post from you again. This is what I like: Enjoy the wonders of today. You never know what tomorrow may bring! - Have a nice weekend!

  3. Ahhhhh!!!! Save a paw!!! There is an event here this weekend in aid of the SPCA. I will be going for sure, and hopefully, I will blog about it soon.

  4. Voted - the month after Xmas.

  5. Very funny gag, Linda !

  6. Hello Linda,
Great post! I enjoyed the images in the Iceland drone video.
What a beautiful place to visit although I wouldn't like to live in such a cold country!
What one can do with a drone...
Thanks for sharing and keep well :)

I used to have a pet cockatoo just like that in Malaysia. ;)

  8. George Eliot, that will do for me today.

  9. bonjour

    a demain

Les nuances d’or clair semblent toutes nouvelles.

Drone in Iceland gives beautiful images, even the northern lights.

  13. Ah, you can't calm the storm! That is for sure!

  14. Hola Linda,

Thanks for visiting my blog. I follow you now. :-) By the way, very nice post.

    Kisses from Spain

  15. I voted! It would be really nice if I can take six month vacation twice a year :-) And definitely, save a paw! Some people just don't know how horrible declawing is - good to raise awareness!

  16. Bonjour Linda,

  17. oh, dear, I seem to be the only person for March, so far. But, the poll is young.

  18. Oh are truly amazing...all these wonderful quotes and videos every single day!
    You enrich so many lives.

That "Emotions" one really caught my attention...I honestly hadn't considered how our emotions affect our bodies.
If there ever was an incentive to try hard to remain positive, then that is it!

    Have a wonderful day! :)

  19. I loved the videos! One with the jokes are transmitted here in Brazil, but that the drone me enchanted, pretty pictures! Have a blessed day, kisses.

  20. Lovely post, thanks Linda!

  21. Good morning, dear Linda! I voted in your latest poll! When I was a boy my aunt and uncle operated a store that sold previously owned housewares and collectibles. They obtained their goods from garage sales. They knew that dirty, dull and tarnished items made of metal, wood or glass can be cleaned and polished, restored to their original beauty and sold for a profit. My parents bought me a parrot at age 14. Like the cockatoo, he was fussy and temperamental, squawked if he didn't get attention, bonded with one person (my dad) and experienced separation anxiety when dad wasn't home. Drone cams have revolutionized movie making, giving us spectacular views above city skyscrapers and rugged terrain in remote regions of the world.

    Thank you, dear Linda!

  22. Lots of food for thought here, Linda! And it's all good stuff! Thanks for sharing.

  23. Loved the gag. For a big guy he sure could place scared.

I too need a six month vacation twice a year. Oh wait, I'm retired.

Have a fabulous day Linda. ☺

  24. I got a good laugh out of the gag video. The Iceland video was beautiful. Great quotes especially the one about I need a 6 month vacation twice a year. Have a blessed day. Madeline

  25. Loved the video about Iceland! Now I want to go visit.

  26. What strikes me today is your "Don't Declaw" message... Please do not declaw your cat! They actually cut off up to the first knuckle of the cats toe. Imagine having the tips of your fingers cut off, that is what it's like for cats!

  27. The dog and cat cartoon is hilarious. I love the drone video; I'd love to visit Iceland for myself.

    I voted... I'm from February.

  28. Cats! Always the best way to have my attention ;-)

  29. Hi Linda, since a little girl, I have always dreamed of having a cockatoo!

  30. "A Drone in Iceland" est une superbe vidéo Linda

  32. I'm born in July en 58 too, enjoy your Thursday Linda

  33. Cute gag again today. And a good public service reminder about what declawing means to a cat.

  34. Does anyone trust the police in Montreal? Especially near a honeypot? LOL! That video of Iceland gave me shivers! It is a raw and magnificent country! I so want to return! Have a good one, Linda!

  35. Good advice and attractive videos.

  36. Wonderful shares today (as always, Linda) - thanks for mentioning the polls - today I visited via my computer instead of my cell phone, and the cell phone doesn't show the side bar. LOVE the iceland drone video, and the encouraging words - you are a dear, and make a big difference in my daily routine. hugs, de

  37. How many beautiful videos! Thank you very much for the sweet comment

  38. "A drone in Iceland" - wow. I heard a funny story about how they named Iceland and Greenland - one sounding more beautiful than the other to steer travellers in a different direction... Don't know how true it is - but an interesting thought.

  39. I like the quote about letting go even if I find it difficult to carry out. :-)

    Greetings from London.

  40. Happy weekend Linda :-) great post again !

  41. Declawing just terrible.

  42. Cats would probably keep their claws if they didn't ruin every piece of furniture

  43. Linda, these are all very good quotes, and I can't pick a favorite, although I did love "the ones who notice the storms." That is powerful. You give so much inspiration to everyone who reads your blog. You are a dear person.

  44. Hi Linda,
I love the Goodwill Video. I always shop there. Thanks for your interesting quotes and videos. Have a Wonderful Week! Karen
