Thursday's Post and a New, Simple Poll!

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!
I have just added a new poll at the top right hand column of my blog!  I just want to know what month you were born.  Thanks so much for participating in my polls, I really appreciate it!  :)

The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Thrifting Goodwill Haul/Home Decor

How to Take Care of a Cockatoo

A Drone in Iceland

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Letting go is part of moving on to something better. You will not get what you truly deserve if you're too attached to the things you're supposed to let go of. Sometimes you love, and you struggle, and you learn, and you move on.  And that's OK.  You must be willing to let go of the life you planned for so you can enjoy the life that is waiting for you.

It's better to let go and look forward into the future instead of the past.  Life is too short to be angry all the time when there is actually happiness around you.

Once upon a time is now...let happily ever after begin today!

How emotions harm your body...anger weakens your liver, grief weakens your lungs, worry weakens your stomach, stress weakens your heart and brain, fear weakens your kidneys, love brings in peace and harmony and strengths your mind and body. Laughter reduces stress, and a smile spreads happiness.

Enjoy the wonders of today.  You never know what tomorrow may bring!

It is never too late to be what you might have been. - George Eliot

You can't calm the storm, so stop trying.  What you can do is calm yourself.  The storm will pass.

I need a six month vacation twice a year.

The ones who notice the storms in your eyes, the silence in your voice and the heaviness in your heart are the ones you need to let in.

The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Mittens and Rufus wanted today's wedding ceremony to include traditions from both of their cultures.

What is a cat's favorite magazine?  Good Mousekeeping.  :)

Save a paw.  Don't declaw!

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  9. bonjour

c'est avec un matin d'automne , vent , fine pluie et ciel gris plomb que je passe te dire bonne journée ...

mais on a le soleil dans le coeur ...:):)

    a demain

Les nuances d’or clair semblent toutes nouvelles.

  18. Oh Linda...you are truly amazing...all these wonderful quotes and videos every single day!
    You enrich so many lives.

That "Emotions" one really caught my attention...I honestly hadn't considered how our emotions affect our bodies.
If there ever was an incentive to try hard to remain positive, then that is it!

    Have a wonderful day! :)

  21. Good morning, dear Linda! I voted in your latest poll! When I was a boy my aunt and uncle operated a store that sold previously owned housewares and collectibles. They obtained their goods from garage sales. They knew that dirty, dull and tarnished items made of metal, wood or glass can be cleaned and polished, restored to their original beauty and sold for a profit. My parents bought me a parrot at age 14. Like the cockatoo, he was fussy and temperamental, squawked if he didn't get attention, bonded with one person (my dad) and experienced separation anxiety when dad wasn't home. Drone cams have revolutionized movie making, giving us spectacular views above city skyscrapers and rugged terrain in remote regions of the world.

    Thank you, dear Linda!

  26. What strikes me today is your "Don't Declaw" message... Please do not declaw your cat! They actually cut off up to the first knuckle of the cats toe. Imagine having the tips of your fingers cut off, that is what it's like for cats!

  27. The dog and cat cartoon is hilarious. I love the drone video; I'd love to visit Iceland for myself.

    I voted... I'm from February.

  38. "A drone in Iceland" - wow. I heard a funny story about how they named Iceland and Greenland - one sounding more beautiful than the other to steer travellers in a different direction... Don't know how true it is - but an interesting thought.
