I just wanted to let you all know that my apartment search continues. I received some news today that is not good in reference to my number on the list for low cost housing. My number has been the same for about a month now, but I just found out that it have moved...but UP, not down, by two points. :( As if being on this very long waiting list for more than 6 and a half years is bad enough, but now my number is going up...and now down? I have to admit that I am discouraged about this, but I will try and see what is going on and why this is happening this week. In the meantime, I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on my behalf, as well as your love, encouragement and support, it means so much to me. I am keeping the Go Fund Me link on the right hand column of my blog for those of you who wish to, and are able to donate money. A heartfelt and sincere thank you! Love and hugs to you all.

Lovely quotations as always. If I must pick my favourite, I guess it is this one: "Do your best. Forgive quickly. Be generous. Use kind words."
ReplyDeleteSo sad to read, Linda! I hope that you soon can move. The last quote is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWatch that helps people with Parkinson's, is really sensational Linda. I wish you a good new week.
ReplyDelete"meanwhile in Canada" est vraiment drôle Linda

Hello Linda, I was hoping it was good news – not bad. I can imagine how frustrating and worrying it is for you. I will keep you in my prayers. I'm o to have a look through the rest of your post now. I'm sorry I’ve missed a few, I've been unwell. Have a lovely week, Barbara
ReplyDeletePS. I love Little Ant!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice as always☺
ReplyDeleteDo your best. Forgive quickly. Be generous. Use kind words. Short sentences, but powerful :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings :)
Sorry to hear your update Linda but let us keep on in praying and having positive thoughts. Something just has to come up for you. Have you put in a word or notice in your local community centers or senior's centers or even bulletin boards in your local supermarkets in neighbourhoods where you'd like to live?
ReplyDeleteGood day Linda, I wish you a beautiful week which only gets better as the days pass.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carol
Bonjour Linda,
Bises
Hello, I would definitely find why your number is going backwards after all these years. Do you have a local government representative you could call, maybe they could speed up the process. Sorry, I hope you find a place soon. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - praying you will find a place to move soon. Certain you will! What an astonishing video of the colt in the ant hole. Can't imagine how that happened but glad someone followed through and saved this sweet boy. All your quotes were wonderful. Especially "never trust your tongue when your heart is bitter". Wonderful reminder. Take care dear friend and have a blessed day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe first video moved me so much, friend Linda ... I raised cattle for more than 25 years and understand them perfectly ... but never horses because I am eternally afraid of them ... some day I will conquer that fear ... and some day soon you will have a comfortable place to live ... Circle of life, ya? ... Love always, cat.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that housing is so hard for so to get in a big place like Montreal or Toronto.must you stat in a big city for health reasons
ReplyDeleteSorry you're moving the wrong way on the housing list. I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you to find some good housing.
ReplyDeleteI love the baby horse being rescued. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day, Linda. Big hugs. ♥♥♥
So sorry to hear about your change on the list, how disappointing for you. Praying that there will be some good news soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a solution swiftly.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and good videos and great quotes. Have a blessed day and a wonderful week. Madeline
ReplyDeleteDon't lose your courage, Linda !
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Linda! Still praying for a "better than expected" housing solution for you. Don't give up!
ReplyDeleteWonderful videos this morning - especially loved the colt rescue and the Parkinson's watch. Let's hope that these watches are affordable for people who need them. Wonderful quotes, too, as always!
Be blessed, my friend!
merci pour ce beau partage chère Linda! Bise, bon lundi tout en douceur et dans la joie!
ReplyDeletelove the Little Ant colt! and as always I so enjoy your positive posts!
ReplyDeleteNewborn Horse Rescued from Huge Ant's Nest. OMG .... Happy ending. Luckily.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all the goodies today to look at. Linda, I am praying that the Lord opens a door and does it quickly. I know that He will provide. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThe wait list must be so maddening! Do they have an approximate time as to how much longer you will have to wait?
ReplyDeleteHi Birdie, unfortunately they do not divulge any waiting time, as they go on a priority and number basis. So if someone on the list has a sudden and urgent situation (such as a fatal fire and they lose everything), they get first priority. As well, they work with what they have in terms of available apartments. It can be frustrating, as there is no way for me to know the time length. It could be months or years.
Deletepraying they can give you answers and maybe you can persuade them to move you closer to getting your apartment catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteI especially liked your videos today, Linda. Ants are incredibly vicious critters, so glad the poor wee horse was rescued. The watch for people with Parkinsons' disease was also much appreciated. I broke my right wrist when I was a teenager and it never set properly so I have a difficult time writing, but I don't think it would work for me. And the small a/c unit! Wow, I wish they had those back in the day. Today, we live in homes with central air conditioning and this new little unit would be of little use unless, of course, one did not have central air, then it would be hugely beneficial. I remember trying to put those old a/c units into windows at my in-laws house...what a job that was!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the bad new with regard to your housing. It seems that being on the list for as long as you have should give you a leg up. Perhaps you can speak with someone in authority in charge of such things?
Best wishes, as usual.
Thanks for more interesting and inspiring quotes!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the housing situation, that sounds ridiculous but as you say not encouraging! Thoughts are so often with you. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteHello Linda! Oh my, how your stomach must have dropped when you saw that list. I hope you can receive some clarity on why-what happened...I will remain praying for you and Romeo.
ReplyDeleteLoved the little colt video, that poor mommy and her sweet little fella. I was nervous just watching! Thank God the farmers were alert to the mommy! : )
I was watching the video on the negative thoughts, that was interesting.
Please take care, earnestly praying. Love, and a big hug! Amelia
Sorry to hear about the number position. So frustrating. Sending positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can find your new place soon. Stay strong and positive even though it is hard.
ReplyDeleteI liked the colt video, very uplifting. Lovely quotes too Linda. I hope you have a wonderful week going forward.
I can imagine your frustration, Linda. But God must have a better plan for you. Keep praying and trusting Him for His plan for you. I know...easier said than done, right? Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteLiked the horse rescue video.
ReplyDeletePoor little horse! Thanks goodness, he was rescued! (Rob)
ReplyDeleteI hope your application for an apartment will be processed soon. I like the newborn horse rescue. Poor mom and baby, good thing the farmer found out in time to save the baby.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - I liked the videos of baby horse rescued from giant ant nest and the Microsoft watch. Thank you for the inspiring, encouraging post, as always. Wish your housing problem be sorted out sooner.

Saludos.
Hi Linda, hoping with all my heart that something will come your way real soon. Things happen when you are least expecting it sometimes. I have had that happen so many times over the course of my 67 years :) I will be constantly sending you good and happy vibes for such a happy event. Thank you for all the interesting things you have shared today. My heart went out to the little guy down the ant hole. Goodness, I have never heard of anything like that happening. I didn’t even know there were such large ant holes! The watch is amazing. Those new-style air-conditioners are so cool, pardon the pun ;) and I thought the turn it around project was very heartwarming and inspiring. The wise words are always great and meanwhile in Canada, was sweet. Thank you Linda and sending hugs and wishing you much good luck on your move.
ReplyDeleteI was just checking to see how things were going...I do hope you can get to the bottom of this quickly...
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! I'm sorry to hear about your setback on the housing list. that's got to be so frustrating. Not to mention worrisome. The newborn horse video was amazing. That poor mother, not to mention the baby in the hole. I really liked the Project Forgive quote. I've never been good at setting boundaries. Have a good one, my special friend. Sending you a big hug!
ReplyDeleteI hope your get better soon!
ReplyDeleteKeeping donation is good.
