Weekend Wonders
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all!
The videos I have selected for this post are: Cow Who Won't Stop Crying in her Pen Breaks Rescuers' Hearts When They Find Out Why
Biggest Toothbrushing Mistake
This Walmart Closed and Left the Building Abandoned so the City Decided to do this with it
Dog Rescued from Meat Farm who Slept Sitting up gets her First Real Bed
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Ah, kindness. What a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in the world. - A.A. Malee
Bad news is: you cannot make people like, love, understand, validate, accept or be nice to you. You can't control them, either. Good news is: it doesn't matter.
I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go. - Rachel Joy Scott
We are not here to judge others. We are not here to decide what someone deserves or doesn't deserve. We are here to help others in need, to lift those who need a lift, to restore the broken hearted, to help heal the hurting and to share the abundance of God's love.
There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms; a physical, a mental, an emotional and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. - Sir J. Lubbock
I was impressed with the posters today. You included something for almost everyone. I know several spoke to me in a meaningful way. And you really hook me with stories of animals and suffering and people who help heal them. Who would think a cow would cry?
Once again great sayings Linda, I do not know where you find them all. "I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go." Oh so very true and let us hope this happens often, "Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." Enjoying nature is one of the joys of my life. :-) Hope all is well, take care, gentle hugs Diane
Bonjour Linda J'ai été absente quelques jours et dès mon retour je retrouve avec plaisir tes posts plein de douceur. Merci pour tout. je te souhaite une belle fin de semaine
Linda, We recently spent the night at a B&B in the countryside of Scotland. It was surrounded by cattle who were mooing their heads off. It turns out that the mama cows had just been separated from their babies. They seemed to settle down by the next day... As for brushing one's teeth, we love our electric toothbrushes...and we use them as directed in the video. Nice story from McAllen TX and their reuse of abandoned retail space. I worked in retail most of my career and the companies I worked for shut down thousands of stores over the years...always a sad event and hard on the local communities too. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Dos reflexiones son las que mas creo son reales la que nos dice lo de la mejor vista esta tras una difícil ascensión y la de que no estamos para juzgar a nadie.... .
Many animals are much smarter than most people give them credit for and I'm not the sentimental type. Probably cause all sorts of problems though for society with a culture of eating them which is why they are labelled 'dumb.' Really like the library idea.
The cow story was great. The bond between the mother and her calf was touching and they experienced a great ending to their story. My favorite quote, "The best view comes after the hardest climb". I like it.
