Mid-Week Morsels

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

How do Reindeer and Elk get their Astounding Antlers?

Candid Camera Classic: Menu Substitutions

The Christmas Wall  :)

Tum Hi Ho - Harp and Flute

A Look at London's Traditional Christmas Dinner

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Life goes by in the blink of an eye.  Appreciate the wonderful moments.

I believe that sometimes the bad times in our life put us on a path to the best times of our life.

A state of grace is that kind of balance with which you ride the chaos that you find around you.  It's not a matter of resolving the chaos, because there is something arrogant and warlike about putting the world in order. - Leonard Cohen

Politeness has become so rare that people mistake it for flirtation.

The more you recognize the immense good within you, the more you magnetize immense good around you. - Alan Cohen

The stillness of the morning is like a greenhouse in which you can gently take root, preparing yourself for the winds of the day.

Many people lose the small joys in the hope for the big happiness. - Pearl S. Buck

You are needed...even if your halo is a little crooked. :)

A friend is someone who believes in you even when you have ceased to believe in yourself.

Today be thankful and think of how rich you really are.  Your family and friends are priceless, your time is gold, and your health is wealth.

Chilly pepper  :)

Owl always love you. (I'll always love you).  :)

When you see something beautiful in someone, tell them.  It may take a second to say, but for them, it could last a lifetime.

I have no desire to argue with anyone, I choose to walk away because I just want peace.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  16. Linda, We watch a lot of wildlife shows so I'm up on antlers but the rack on that one elk was amazing. As for the Jimmy Fallon 'wall bit', maybe I'm just too old but I don't 'get' much of today's humor. For our Christmas dinner, we'll be having a roast leg of lamb, roasted potatoes, green beans and a salad. Dessert is yet to be determined!

I don't like to argue but today many people won't even politely discuss issues for fear of getting into an argument. I love an intelligent give and take discussion of the issues.

    Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  33. A very interesting post, Linda. And I learned things. I mean, I always thought elk just went down to the local Target or Walmart and bought their antlers on sale!

Candid Camera is always great fun, and I really enjoyed the flute and harp; I was amazed at the depth of their sound.

Best wishes for a great night and a great day tomorrow.

  40. Thanks for the reminders today, Linda - and for always sharing beautiful sentiments and videos that remind us to enjoy life each day. I especially like the item about Politeness being misinterpreted these days. I believe graciousness and mercy are also looked upon as weakness in many ways these days, when they are actually signs of incredible strength. Just a brief not to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, and to thank you for your on-line friendship. I hope that 2017 is especially good to you, and that the promise of new beginnings creates wonderful journeys! hugs, de

  44. Merry Christmas, dear Linda! Another happy and inspiring post! I can absolutely say that the worst things that have happened to me in my life, in retrospect, were some of the best for they sent me in new directions that were amazing and good. And family and friends are the best! I'm so glad that I have you as a special friend in my life. The gate just announced our flight. Terry surprised me with an amazing gift. We are on the way to Calgary to spend Christmas with my family. Only Donnie knows. Wishing you a blessed Christmas! Sending you love and hugs ~ lots of them!
